Shawn Christian Leaving 'Days of our Lives'

Shawn Christian
Actor Shawn Christian is the latest actor we can confirm who will be leaving Days of our Lives. Christian has played Dr. Daniel Jonas since March 2008. Daytime Confidential first mentioned Christian's possible exit back in June, and viewers have been speculating how Daniel might leave Salem.

It looks like the controversial doctor--beloved my some viewers and maligned by others as overexposed--will not be making it out of Salem alive. But unlike the recent deaths of Serena Mason (Melissa Archer) and Paige Larson (True O'Brien), Daniel will not be a victim of the serial killer; he's going to the great beyond in another way.

Daniel is not the only character who will be killed off in a non-serial killer way. Stay tuned for more on that, plus details of another major exit from Days coming in early 2016.

In addition to his role as Dr. Daniel Jones on Days, Christian has starred in As the World Turns as Mike Kasnoff, and Summerland as Johnny Durant. His other credits include Pacific Palisades, Boston Legal, Las Vegas, Beverly Hills, 90210 and Venice. Since taping his last Days episode, Christian has been busy working on the thriller Last Seen in Idaho.

First Thoughts on Guy Wilson as the New Will Horton on DAYS OF OUR LIVES

Guy Wilson debuted as the new Will Horton on DAYS OF OUR LIVES on Wednesday, January 8, 2014. "You're not gonna believe this!" That was actor Guy Wilson's first line in his debut as the new Will Horton on DAYS OF OUR LIVES. Well, believe it! Over the years many relative unknown thespians, who later turned out to be excellent actors, even Emmy winners, made their daytime soap opera debuts and looked like stiffs. This is a different medium, with a lot of dialogue to memorize, where getting it right on the first take is desired. It's understandable if a new actor in a daytime drama takes not just one, but several episodes to settle in. It's happened time and again so I give them a pass. Luckily, Wilson doesn't need one. He performed like a seasoned pro on Day One.
