Kristina Wagner and John J York Visit 'General Hospital'

Kristina Wagner and John J York
Good news for fans of General Hospital. Kristina Wagner and John J York are set to reprise their roles of Felicia and Mac for the wedding of Maxie (Kirsten Storms) and Nathan (Ryan Paevey) next week.

As it turns out, It's a good thing that felicia and Mac are there for the big day. The latest issue of Soap Opera Digest reveals that Felicia breaks up a brawl between Nina (Michelle Stafford) and Lulu (Emme Rylan), while Mac tends to a nervous Nathan.

Port Charles always feels a little more like home when Mac and Felicia are around. It would be great to see them a bit more in 2017.

General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC

'General Hospital' Gives Viewers a Super Soap-worthy Team

Mac, Felicia, Robert, and Anna teamed up on General Hospital
On the Tuesday February 2 episode of General Hospital, Robert (Tristan Rogers) and Anna (Finola Hughes) found themselves trapped together in prison, but Mac (John J York) and Felicia (Kristina Wagner) came to the rescue!

The chemistry these four actors share is electric, and reminds me of a time when Port Charles felt like home. Although they received minimal airtime, they managed to bring a sense of joy and history to the show that is often lacking.

Kristian Alfonso and John J. York Featured in "Skip the Drama" PSAs

Kristian Alfonso
A national PSA campaign hopes that – for 37 million Americans – that includes getting a diploma.

Kristian Alfonso (Hope Brady, Days of our Lives) and John J. York (Mac Scorpio, General Hospital) are helping to address this issue with two fun new public service ads (PSAs) produced with the Ad Council.

The ads draw a humorous parallel between the drama of a soap opera and the drama of not having a high school equivalency credential.

John J. York
The High School Equivalency campaign encourages young adults without a high school diploma to take the first steps toward a better future by signing up for free adult education classes in their area. More than 37 million adults in America do not have a high school diploma. Data shows that adults without a diploma tend to work multiple jobs in the least stable positions, earn less money than high school graduates, and experience a lower quality of life. The PSAs encourage viewers to “skip the drama” and earn their high school equivalency.

'The Soup': Things Get Deep on 'Ray Donovan' and 'General Hospital'

ABC daytime soap opera General Hospital has been hot lately and E!'s The Soup has enjoyed making fun of it. The clip below features both GH and Showtime primetime drama Ray Donovan. Joel McHale has this to say about a General Hospital scene featuring Mac (John J. York) and Felicia (Kristina Wagner) talking about the Aztec jewels: "It sounds like the writer missed a deadline and then just said, 'Screw it. Here's an old Scooby-Doo script I found online. Let's see if anyone notices.'" Watch the segment below:
