Rosie O'Donnell Leaving 'The View' Again

Rosie O'Donnell is leaving ABC talk show The View next week, Variety reports.

According to her publicist. O'Donnell, who recently divorced her wife, is departing so that she can spend more time with her family.

"This has been a very stressful situation. She is putting her personal health and family first. ABC has been wonderfully understanding and supportive of her personal decision to leave The View. Next week will be her last."

ABC released a statement about O'Donnell's departure.

"Rosie is an immensely talented star who comes in each and every morning brimming with ideas, excitement and passion for the show. When she told us she wanted to exit The View, we respected and understood her desire to put her well-being and her family first. We’re delighted she’s still part of the ABC family with upcoming guest appearances on ‘The Fosters,’ and we know she’ll return to ‘The View’ often with her unique point of view and updates on her work and her family.

Rosie O'Donnell Returning to 'The Fosters' for 2 Episodes in Early 2015

Emmy Award-winning comedian, host, and actor Rosie O'Donnell will return to guest star in more episodes of ABC Family's hit drama series The Fosters. O'Donnell's character, Rita Henricks, a tough yet compassionate foster care group home caregiver, was introduced in the first season of the critically-acclaimed series. She will appear in two episodes to air in early 2015.

Currently in its second season, The Fosters is a compelling, one-hour drama about a multi-ethnic family mix of foster and biological kids being raised by two moms. Stef Adams Foster, a dedicated police officer, and her wife, Lena Adams Foster, a school Vice Principal, have built a close-knit, loving family with Stef’s biological son from a previous marriage, Brandon, and their adopted twins, Mariana and Jesus. Recently added to the mix is their newly adopted son, Jude, and his sister, Callie, who is striving toward adoption as well despite the roadblocks caused by her tumultuous family history.

In September, O'Donnell made her return to daytime and The View where she can be seen weekdays on ABC.

The Fosters stars Teri Polo as Stef Adams Foster, Sherri Saum as Lena Adams Foster, Jake T. Austin as Jesus Adams Foster, Hayden Byerly as Jude Adams Foster, David Lambert as Brandon Adams Foster, Maia Mitchell as Callie Jacob, Danny Nucci as Mike Foster and Cierra Ramirez as Mariana Adams Foster.
