C. Thomas Howell and Henry Rollins to Guest Star in ABC Family's New Procedural Drama 'Stitchers'

C. Thomas Howell (Criminal Minds, Southland) and Henry Rollins (Sons of Anarchy) will guest star in ABC Family's new procedural drama Stitchers.

Howell will guest star in a recurring role as Daniel, a mysterious person Kirsten (series star Emma Ishta) knew long ago. Rollins will play Barbiero, a security expert who has worked with Maggie (series star Salli Richardson-Whitfield) in the past and is now pushed to extreme measures. He is lethal when he needs to be and practical when the situation calls for some clear thought. Both Rollins and Howell will appear later in the season.

Stitchers follows Kirsten, a young woman recruited into a covert government agency to be 'stitched' into the minds of the recently deceased, using their memories to investigate murders and decipher mysteries that otherwise would have gone to the grave. Stitchers is executive-produced by Jeffrey Alan Schechter (Overruled!), Jonathan Baruch and Rob Wolken. The series stars Emma Ishta as Kirsten Clark, Kyle Harris (Carrie Diaries) as Cameron Goodkin, Ritesh Rajan (upcoming Jungle Book feature) as Linus Ahluwalia, Salli Richardson-Whitfield (Eureka, I Am Legend) as Maggie Baptiste, and Allison Scagliotti (Warehouse 13) as Camille Engelson.

ABC Family Procedural Drama 'Stitchers' Begins Production

Emma Ishta will play Kirsten in Stitchers.
ABC Family has begun production on the new procedural drama series Stitchers, filming in Los Angeles. Stitchers follows Kirsten (Emma Ishta), a young woman recruited into a covert government agency to be ‘stitched’ into the minds of the recently deceased, using their memories to investigate murders and decipher mysteries that otherwise would have gone to the grave. Working alongside Kirsten is Cameron (Kyle Harris), a brilliant neuroscientist whose passion for the program is evident in his work. The secret program is headed by Maggie (Salli Richardson-Whitfield), a skilled veteran of covert operations, and includes Linus (Ritesh Rajan), a socially immature bioelectrical engineer and communications technician. Kirsten’s roommate, Camille (Allison Scagliotti), a gifted computer science grad student, is also recruited to use her skills to assist Kirsten in her new role as a 'stitcher.'

Created and written by Jeffrey A. Schechter (Overruled!), who will executive produce alongside Jonathan Baruch and Rob Wolken, Stitchers stars newcomer Emma Ishta as Kirsten, Kyle Harris (Carrie Diaries) as Cameron, Ritesh Rajan (upcoming Jungle Book feature) as Linus, Salli Richardson-Whitfield (Eureka, I Am Legend) as Maggie, and Allison Scagliotti (Warehouse 13) as Camille. Todd Holland (The Larry Sanders Show, Malcolm in the Middle) will direct the premiere episode.

ABC Family has picked up its first procedural drama, Stitchers, to series and has ordered a second season of comedy series Young & Hungry.

"Stitchers is new ground for us and I'm excited to bring procedurals to the network," said Tom Ascheim, President, ABC Family. "We think our fans will love the intricate mysteries that Stitchers will solve week to week as much as they love our relationship-driven dramas. We are also going back for seconds of our new comedy, Young & Hungry. Good food, good laughs - of course we want more."
