In Honor of Robin Williams, "My Favorite Orkan" to Air Friday at 9 p.m. ET on Hub Network

Robin Williams, Ron Howard and Henry Winkler.
The Hub Network is paying tribute to the legendary actor Robin Williams with a special airing of the Happy Days episode "My Favorite Orkan," which will air two times in succession on Friday, August 15 at 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. ET/6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. PT. This episode introduced the now famous alien Mork and landed Williams his first starring television role in the popular sitcom Mork & Mindy.

Fans everywhere will get to enjoy the episode with the alternative ending that paved the way for Mork & Mindy with an on air tribute during the hour in honor of this Oscar award-winning actor and beloved comedian.

In "My Favorite Orkan," Richie (Ron Howard) seemingly dreams about an alien named Mork who tries to take him back to his home planet, but must compete with Fonzie first who will not let Mork take his best friend without a fight.

Williams committed suicide by hanging himself with a belt, Marin County police said at a Tuesday press conference.

The preliminary cause of death is suicide due to asphyxia, Lt. Keith Boyd told the media.

According to Boyd, Williams' assistant found him hanging in a bedroom, slightly suspended in a seated position, with superficial cut marks on the inside of his left wrist; rigor mortis had already set in. He was pronounced dead at 12:02 p.m. on Monday.

Williams was last seen alive by his wife at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, Boyd added, before she went to bed.

Robin Williams Dead at 63

Oscar winner and comedian Robin Williams died this morning at 63. While his publicist wouldn’t confirm that it was a suicide, they did issue the following statement:

"Robin Williams passed away this morning. He has been battling severe depression of late. This is a tragic and sudden loss. The family respectfully asks for their privacy as they grieve during this very difficult time."

Williams, who won an Oscar for his supporting role in Good Will Hunting, will reprise his role as Theodore Roosevelt in the third installment of Night at the Museum this December. He had recently signed on to reprise his beloved role as Mrs. Doubtfire in a sequel to be directed by Chris Columbus and was last seen opposite Annette Bening in the indie film The Face of Love as well as the CBS comedy The Crazy Ones.

From 1978 to 1982 he starred as Mork in the ABC sitcom Mork & Mindy. Other TV included Great Minds Think for Themselves, Freedom: A History of Us, Louie and SCTV Network.

According to a press release issued by the Marin County Coronor’s office, the Sheriff’s office suspects the death to be “suicide due to asphyxia.” The 9-1-1 phone call came in just before noon today.
