11th Annual Indie Series Awards Nominees Revealed


The 11th Annual Indie Series Awards nominations in 28 categories were revealed on Wednesday via Twitter. The ISAs celebrate the best in independently produced entertainment created for the Web.

Indoor Boys led all series with 15 total nominations. The show is joined in the Best Comedy Series category by Before We Go, FabUless, F#CKING 40, La règle de (3), The Ninth, Poor Us and Three Year Letterman.

Poz Roz and Studio City earned 12 nominations apiece to lead the dramas. They are joined in the Best Drama Series field by After Forever, The Bay, Bronx SIU, People Like Us, A Place Called Hollywood and Save Me.

In all, there are 33 nominated series from around the globe. Crystal trophies will be presented to the winners during a gala ceremony on April 1 at The Colony Theatre in Burbank, California. The two-day celebration includes a launch party, red carpet reception, press walk, presentation ceremony and official after party.

Since 2009, the Indie Series Award has honored the most creative and progressive talent in independent web series.

9th Annual Indie Series Awards Nominees Revealed!


The nominations for the 9th Annual Indie Series Awards were revealed on Wednesday, January 31. Celebrating the best in independently produced  entertainment created for the Web, ISAs nominees were announced in 30 categories.

Ladies of the Lake led all series with 18 total nominations, followed by The Bay with 16. Those shows will compete in the Best Drama Series category with AnacostiaGiantsL.A. MacabreRiley ParraRunning With Violet and Teenagers.

Filth City led all comedies with 12 nominations. The series is joined in the Best Comedy Series field by 190 LorimerThe Amazing Hoolister ParkBad TimingDear MankindHow to Buy a BabyIndoor Boys and ThreadBare.

The Bold and the Beautiful actress Patrika Darbo was nominated for her work in three separate web series: Indoor BoysThe Bay and Ladies of the Lake.  In an ISAs first, she will compete against herself in the Best Guest Actress - Drama category.

In all, there are 44 nominated series from around the globe: United States, Canada, Germany, Singapore and Uruguay. Crystal trophies will be presented to the winners during a gala ceremony on April 4 at The Colony Theatre in Los Angeles. The two-day celebration includes a launch party, red carpet reception, press walk, presentation ceremony and official after party.

Since 2009, the Indie Series Award has honored the most creative and progressive talent in independent web series. 

The Annual Indie Series Awards is an initiative to elevate the entire indie series genre, organized by the nonprofit Indie Series Network. All proceeds from entry fees, ticket sales, program ads, etc. are reinvested in the production of the event. 'The Bay' Shatters Indie Series Awards Record with 21 Nominations


The nominations for the 8th Annual Indie Series Awards were revealed on Wednesday, February 1. The ISAs celebrate the best in independently produced scripted entertainment created for the Web. Nominations were announced in 29 categories.

The Bay led all series with 21 total nominations. The show will compete in the Best Web Series - Drama category with Best Thing You'll Ever Do, Lemmings, Muck, Out With Dad, People Like Us, Rumuvi and Undetectable.

The Amazing Gayl Pile led all comedies with 16 nominations. The series is joined in the Best Web Series - Comedy field by #Adulting, Break: The Musical, Fame Dogs, Grip and Electric, High Road, Keith Broke His Leg and The Pioneers.

The Bay and The Amazing Gayl Pile each broke the previous record of 13 total nominations.

In all, there are 48 nominated series from around the globe: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Singapore, New Zealand, Australia and Argentina. Crystal trophies will be presented to the winners during a gala ceremony on April 5 in Los Angeles. The two-day celebration includes a launch party, red carpet reception, press walk, presentation ceremony and official after party.

Chad Duell Joins the Cast of 'The Bay' as Adam Kenway

Chad Duell shares scenes with Thomas Calabro on The Bay
Emmy Winner Chad Duell, who currently stars as Michael Corinthos on General Hospital, has joined the cast of The Bay as Adam Kenway.

The character is described as a "mysterious young man who comes to comes to Bay City with an agenda and wreaks havoc in the lives of Pete Garrett (Kristos Andrews) and Sara Garrett (Mary Beth Evans).

More Soap Opera Favorites Join 'The Bay'

The Cast of The Bay continues to grow, as more soap opera favorites join the popular series.

Additional guest stars in the new episodes of THE BAY include James DePaiva (ex-Max, OLTL) as Young Jack Madison, Jessica Morris (ex-Jen, OLTL) as Young Kate Blackwell, Christopher Sean (Paul, DAYS) as a correctional officer and Kevin Spirtas (Ex-Craig, DAYS) who will portray the flamboyant and unforgettable Pastor Nolan.

“These talented actors are a wonderful addition to our upcoming episodes,” stated THE BAY’s creator, writer, and director Gregori J. Martin. “They’re the perfect fit and we’re excited for them to join our amazing cast.”

New episodes will be available on Amazon Prime later this year.

'The Bay' Moving to Amazon Prime! Carolyn Hennesy, Brandon Beemer, and Jensen Buchanan Join the Cast.

Hot off the heels of winning two Indie Series Awards last week and receiving five nominations for the upcoming Daytime Emmy Awards, LANY Entertainment has revealed its hit web series The Bay will be moving to Amazon Prime this summer. With a new beginning, viewers will be able to binge watch the “Director’s Cut” of the Emmy award-winning series, to be re-released in two 14-episode seasons on Amazon Prime.

“We’re excited to bring to the viewers these remastered episodes with never before seen footage,” explains creator Gregori J. Martin. “The show will have a new starting point, and we hope the viewers will binge watch the series to learn the whole story.”

With plans to shoot the 2nd half of the latter season, The Bay goes into production on six brand new episodes in May.

In the vein of Dicken’s “A Christmas Carol,” Mayor Jack Madison (Nicolas Coster) will be taken on a journey where he’ll reluctantly face his past transgressions.

Joining the cast in the role of the mayor’s ex-wife and son John Blackwell’s (Ronn Moss) late mother is Carolyn Hennesy (General Hospital, True Blood, Revenge). Brandon Beemer (Days of our Lives) will fill the role of a younger John Blackwell as Jensen Buchanan (The Young and the Restless, Another World) undertakes the role of Melody Garrett circa 1986. Marissa Tait (The Bold and the Beautiful) joins the cast as Young Katherine Blackwell while Eric Martsolf and Abby Wathen return in their roles as Young Lee and Young Sara.

Additional casting news will be released prior to production.

WINNERS: 7th Annual Indie Series Awards

WINNERS REVEALED FOR 7th ANNUAL INDIE SERIES AWARDS

'Arthur' Wins Best Drama, 'Keith Broke His Leg' Named Best Comedy

LOS ANGELES, CA, April 7, 2016 – Winners for the 7th Annual Indie Series Awards (ISA7) were revealed on Wednesday night in a star-studded ceremony held at the historic El Portal Theatre, hosted by Jen Lilley and Eric Martsolf, airing on AfterBuzz TV. Switzerland produced Arthur was named best drama series, while Keith Broke His Leg won as best comedy.

The ISAs celebrate the best in independently produced scripted entertainment created for the Web.

In the drama acting categories, winners included Lilly Melgar (The Bay), Adam Henry Garcia (Conversations From the Afterlife), Jodie Hirst (Night School), Raymond Ablack (Teenagers), Kym Whitley (The Bay) and Kevin Spirtas (Winterthorne). EastSiders was named best drama ensemble.

On the comedy side, acting winners included Melissa Archer (Viral), Keith Powell (Keith Broke His Leg), Darcie Siciliano (He's With Me), Brennan Murray (The New Adventures of Peter and Wendy), Stephen Guarino (Life's a Drag) and Cady Huffman (He's With Me). Hunting Season won as the best comedy ensemble.

LARPs and Winterthorne led all series with three awards each, followed by two wins ech for The Bay, The Banks, He's With Me and Keith Broke His Leg.

Lilley and Martsolf performed a song during their opening, which included a 10-person choir made up of web series producers and stars, and a electric guitar player. The ceremony also included two medleys featuring the best original nominees with performances from Colleen Zenk, Jeffrey Christopher Todd, Benjamin Scott Holst, Ron Hanks, Jillian Claire, Elisabeth Ness, Kevin Sebastian, and Patrika Darbo.

Presenters at the ceremony included Kristos Andrews, Melissa Archer, Ben Baur, Daniel Betances, Jillian Clare, Tia Dae, Claire Downs, Melissa Claire Egan, Mary Beth Evans, Crista Flanagan, Jeremy Glazer, Ryan Gowland, Carolyn Hennesy, Cady Huffman, Zac Hug, Kathleen Gati, Jill Knox, Martha Madison, Keith Powell, Darcie Siciliano, Kevin Spirtas, Karrueche Tran, Ian Verdun, Sebastian La Cause, Erika Robel, Tristan Rogers, Marc Sinoway, Kit Williamson and Colleen Zenk.

In all, there are 56 Nominated Series from around the globe: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Switzerland, Norway and Singapore. 22 series took home at least 1 award during the ceremony.

NEW YORK, NY, February 3, 2016 – Nominees for the 7th Annual Indie Series Awards (ISA7) were announced this afternoon in a special episode of Serial Scoop Now. The ISAs celebrate the best in independently produced scripted entertainment created for the Web. Nominations were announced in 30 categories.

Winterthorne led all series with a record-tying 13 nominations, including for Best Web Series — Drama. Fellow Best Drama nominees The Bay and EastSiders followed with 11 and 10 nominations, respectively. ArthurThe Bank
s and BLACK rounded out the top drama category.

Hollywood Wasteland received 11 nominations, including Best Web Series — Comedy. It will compete for best comedy with Capitol HillF'dHunting SeasonKeith Broke His Leg and These People.
