In the latest episode of Serial Scoop Now (2.14), host Michael Taylor Gray hit the red carpet of the 8th Annual Indie Series Awards on April 5 at The Colony Theatre in Burbank, California. MTG chatted with hosts Kit Williamson and John Halbach (EastSiders); Raymond Ochoa and Bobby Ochoa (Ochoa Boyz), Elba Sette-Camara and Grant Kretchik (The Sessions); Jonathan Robbins, Jason Leaver and Kate Conway (Out With Dad); and Bhama Roget and Ian Schuelke (The Bhama Show).
Go Team Entertainment has announced that Brooklyn Web Fest and Content Creator Conference will return to the Made in NY Media Center in DUMBO, Brooklyn this October, showcasing the best independent storytelling the web has to offer. “Season 2” of the festival aims to bring together internet innovators and industry influencers to share knowledge and forge professional relationships through a series of panels, educational workshops and networking events.
The winning series will receive meetings with the entire 2016 Executive Board, which includes representatives from the top digital networks, MCNs, advertising agencies and distributors.
Participating companies include IFC, Vimeo, Maker Studios, Fullscreen, Scalelab, Above Average, TubiTV, Open TV,Black&Sexy TV, KollideTV, JimCo, Mustache Agency,BRaVe Media Ventures, Creator Up!, Converge Media Group,Don Buchwald & Associates, Wolfe Videoand Go Team Entertainment.
Press partners who have agreed to feature the winning series include Indiewire, Tubefilter, Televisual, Snobby Robot, Serial Scoop and the Indie Series Network. Additional board members will be announced in the months leading up to the festival in the BKWF newsletter.
Carolyn Hennesy, who hosted the Indie Series Awards in 2014, returns to the ISAs stage as a nominee and presenter on April 6. She's nominated for the third year in a row, this time for her work on These People.
The Indie Series Awards announced today the second slate of presenters for the upcoming 7th Annual ISAs ceremony, hosted by Jen Lilley and Eric Martsolf.

The wait is almost over! The magnificent EastSiders has released a trailer for the show's upcoming second season. EastSiders focuses on the tumultuous relationship of Cal (Kit Williamson) and Thom ( Van Hansis), and it doesn't seem as if life will be any easier for the twosome this season.
Based on the new trailer, Cal and Thom are going to open up their relationship. How is this going to impact their already rocky relationship? I can't wait to find out!
EastSiders also stars Constance Wu, Matthew McKelligon, John Halbach and features guest turns from Sean Maher, Stephen Guarino, Brea Grant and Traci Lords. Brianna Brown (Devious Maids, General Hospital) joins the cast this season as Cal’s sister, Hillary, along with new additions Satya Bhabha, Adam Bucci, Vera Miao, and Willam Belli.

Season One of Indie Series Award-winning EastSiders was released this week on demand and DVD. EastSiders offers a peek into the life and friends of a gay couple in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles. In the first season, Cal (Kit Williamson) finds out Thom (Van Hansis) has been cheating on him, and their relationship is turned upside down. Serial Scoop caught up with EastSiders creator and star Kit Williamson, along with executive producer and cast member John Halbach (who plays Ian), who revealed their favorite moments from Season One, and shared what's ahead in Season Two. SERIAL SCOOP: Are you going to to tell me what's happening in every episode in Season Two? JOHN HALBACH: We are going to tell you everyone who has sex, everyone who dies.
