The upcoming Revenge season finale, slated to air Sunday, May 10, at 10 p.m. ET on ABC, will be the end of the series.

“We can officially tell our fans that this will be the end of the story,” executive producer Sunil Nayar tells EW. “We’ve been talking to the network and we all just wanted to make sure that we felt very confident. Now that everybody has seen the finale—which is fabulous—everybody understands that as much as we all adore the show, it has hit exactly the mark it needed to to end. This is the series finale of Revenge that will be airing in a couple weeks.”

While Nayar promises closure for fans, “There’s a tiny little cliffhanger in the series finale,” he says. “We don’t want people to get weary of the stories we’re telling, so we felt like they deserve an ending to this novel that Mike Kelley started four years ago. I really feel like the last couple chapters are worthy of the first many.”

The series finale is titled "Two Graves." Backed into a corner, Emily is forced to admit her guilt, but she’ll have to decide how far she’ll go before admitting defeat. Will Emily/Amanda end up dead like her nemesis, Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe)? Stay tuned!

'Revenge' Finale: Two Dead, One Back From The Dead (Spoilers)

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED THE REVENGE SEASON 3 FINALE

The third season of ABC's Revenge came to an end Sunday night, as did the lives of two main characters. First, Aiden Mathis (Barry Sloane) bit the dust with his life being snuffed out by Victoria holding a pillow over his face. In the final segment, Conrad Grayson (Henry Czerny) had been released from prison but was quickly murdered by none other than a much-alive David Clarke (James Tupper)! In the final scene, Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe) was institutionalized by Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp) before she could reveal (to anyone important) that Emily was really Amanda Clarke.

It was a good finale. The character of Aiden and the whole backstory between Emily and Aiden never worked for me so I was happy when Victoria took care of that with a drugged drink and one small pillow. Despite my dislike of the story and the portrayal of Aiden as "the one" for Emily, VanCamp did a fantastic job as Emily when she discovered Aiden's body, perhaps her best performance to date. One of the most appealing things about early Revenge was the flashbacks of Jack and Amanda, and rooting for them to be together again. Let's hope Season 4 gets back to that.
