Jessie J to Host 2015 MTV Movie Awards Live Pre-Show on April 12

MTV today announced that Jessie J will bring her signature style and unmatchable sense of cool to burn up the red carpet of the “2015 MTV Movie Awards” as she hosts the spectacular Pre-Show airing LIVE on Sunday, April 12 at 7:30 p.m. ET. In the lead up to the main event, MTV will offer fans a week of exclusive first looks at five of the summer’s must-see films during “MTV Movie Awards Takeover Week” presented by Mtn. Dew® Kickstart™. Immediately following the Pre-Show special, at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT, MTV will air the “2015 MTV Movie Awards” from Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California, hosted by Amy Schumer.

Poised in the middle of the action, Jessie J and MTV’s Josh Horowitz will give viewers a first-hand look at all of the hip, Hollywood royalty walking the carpet from some of this summer’s most anticipated movies as they make their show-stopping arrivals. Also, Cara Delevingne, Nat Wolff and author John Green will be on hand to introduce an exclusive sneak from the upcoming feature, Paper Towns.

Shailene Woodley to Receive Trailblazer Award at 2015 MTV Movie Awards

MTV today announced that award-winning actress and young Hollywood sensation Shailene Woodley will receive the fourth annual “MTV Trailblazer Award” during the LIVE telecast of the 2015 “MTV Movie Awards” on Sunday, April 12 at 8 p.m. ET/PT from the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, CA. The coveted award will be presented to Woodley by her Insurgent co-star and fan favorite, Miles Teller.

Woodley is the third woman to receive the award, which recognizes actors who are blazing a distinctive and innovative path for their Hollywood peers. Previous winners include Emma Watson, Emma Stone and the only male to receive the award, actor Channing Tatum.

“Shailene Woodley is one of the most talented actresses of this generation,” said Stephen Friedman, President of MTV. “Whether baring her soul in emotionally charged roles in The Descendents and The Fault In Our Stars or igniting our imagination in sci-fi blockbusters like Insurgent, Shailene has raised the bar for actresses navigating diverse and challenging roles professionally, while personally remaining down-to-earth and accessible to her fans.”
