About Serial Scoop Now

Who’s Behind This?

Hello — I’m Roger Newcomb, the producer of Serial Scoop. I’ve been a longtime fan of soap operas and serialized dramas, and after years of watching, reading, researching, and preserving interviews and history, I decided to build this site for folks who love soaps as much as I do.

The Serial Scoop blog and our web series Serial Scoop Now springs from that love — a place to celebrate the shows, the stars, the history, and yes, the stories behind the scenes.

Why This Site Exists (Our Mission)

Serial Scoop is dedicated to honoring the legacy and cultural impact of soap operas — from classic daytime dramas to modern serialized storytelling. My goal is to:

  • Share archival interviews, retrospectives, and rare clips from soap-opera history.

  • Document soap opera history — highlighting key events, anniversaries, cast changes, and milestones from the past.

  • Offer insightful write-ups, episode guides, and coverage of industry news or upcoming soaps.

  • Build a community of fellow fans who appreciate the passion, drama, and history behind serialized television.

If you’re the kind of fan who enjoys revisiting old episodes, learning background stories, or simply celebrating the shows that shaped so many lives — you’re in the right place.

What You’ll Find Here

You’ll see:

  • Episode guides and recaps for soap seasons & series.

  • “Flashback” posts that mark anniversaries, birthdays, and milestones.

  • Archived interviews with actors, creators, insiders — sometimes rare or previously hard to find.

  • News about upcoming shows, reunions, casting changes, and more.

  • Honest opinions — I’m a fan first, not a corporate entity. Expect commentary that comes from the heart.

My Commitment to You

I promise to keep this site as real and fan-driven as it started — no fluff, no clickbait, just genuine fandom and respect for the art of serialized storytelling. Whether you’re a lifelong soap devotee or a curious newcomer, I hope Serial Scoop Now becomes your go-to place for everything soap-opera related.

Want to Connect or Contribute?

I’d love to hear from fellow fans — your thoughts, memories, suggestions, or requests. If you have an old interview, a show you think deserves a spotlight, or just want to say hi: drop me a line. Feel free to browse the posts, leave a comment, or sign up (if/when a newsletter goes live).

Thanks for stopping by. Here’s to great stories — past, present, and future.

— Roger Newcomb
