Ms. Zenk, best known for her role as 32-year run as Barbara Ryan on the daytime drama As the World Turns, joins Fastwalkers in the role of famous Broadway star Whit Wilkerson.

"Colleen's strong skills at blending dramatic interpretation with a puckish comic sensibility, and her willingness to engage unusual yet authentic characters, make her the perfect choice for this role."
Ms. Zenk was nominated for a Lead Actress Daytime Emmy Award in 2001 and 2002 after the complex role development in her Barbara Ryan character took her from put-upon heroine to villainess. She was named Best Villain by Soap Opera Digest in 2003. She was named Best Villain by Soap Opera Digest in 2003, and was nominated for a third time for a Daytime Emmy in the Outstanding Lead Actress category in 2011. She received an Indie Series Award nomination in 2014 for her work on the Western drama Thurston."As an actor, I'm honored to be asked to be a part of this well-written, highly-acclaimed series, and as a sci-fi geek, I'm thrilled to get to dip my toes into a genre I love !” said Zenk.

Ms. Zenk's strong musical theater experience, with a background mostly in dance, found her cast in 1980 as co-star on Broadway alongside musical theater legends Chita Rivera and Donald O'Connor in the sequel to "Bye Bye Birdie" titled "Bring Back Birdie," while working during the day on As the World Turns. She was then featured, singing and dancing with Albert Finney and Carol Burnett, in the movie musical Annie directed by John Huston. In 2007, Ms. Zenk battled through oral cancer to recovery after multiple tongue and reconstructive surgeries, radiation and heavy pain medication. She continued her popular stage appearances, including the 50th anniversary production of Stephen Sondheim's "Follies" at the Little Theatre on the Square of Chicago, and debuting her one-woman show "Colleen Zenk: LIVE." In 2011, this period culminated with the long-awaited NY debut of her one-woman show "Still Sassy," premiering at Feinstein's at the Regency in New York.
In the summer of 2013, Ms. Zenk portrayed Tallulah Bankhead to rave reviews in the Regional Premiere of Matthew Lombardo's play "Looped" at Stageworks/Hudson. Next up, Ms. Zenk will headline the cast with Corbin Bleu and John Earl Elks in Michael Slade’s newest play, "Family Shots." The production has its world premiere at The Human Race Theatre Company at The Loft Theatre in downtown Dayton, running from January 22-February 8, 2015. A drama graduate of The Catholic University of America, Ms. Zenk has partnered with The Oral Cancer Foundation to do additional interviews in print and TV media as well as produce public service TV announcements (PSA) on the importance of early detection. She has also devoted much time to the national chapters of Easter Seals, The March of Dimes and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and was on the of Governors of Bread and Roses, an AIDS hospice/facility in Connecticut for many years.
