Stephen Schnetzer |
At Tyler's memorial, Henry notices that all his old classmates are wearing the same ring. Jo (Alana De La Garza) questions a Paul Gould (Kett Turton) until an attorney, Cassandra Mueller (Meryl Jones Williams), interrupts. Moments later, Carter Pilson (Raul Casso) apologizes for what just happened. He's the man who presented him with the award that was used as the murder weapon. Carter tenses up when Henry mentions the date that matches the numbers on Tyler’s tattoo. It’s the day he graduated from Hamilton. Tyler's mother (Neil) said that an air of sadness came over him after that.
Alexandra Neil |
Henry and Jo discover that Tyler’s life of privilege and those of his thick-as-thieves Hamilton School classmates took a fateful turn one night many years ago. Now, the nightmare they thought they buried deep within themselves has come back to haunt them. The remains of Robert Meecham are found. The four friends hit him with their car and kept the secret all these years. They killed that kid, but none of them admit to killing Tyler.
Henry realizes that someone else was involved the night Robert Meecham died. A local gas station owner knew what the kids had done. He extorted money from Tyler to keep quiet. That was going to end if there was a confession. The gas station owner killed Tyler after he found out he wasn’t going to get any more hush money.
The killer fires on Jo and Henry, who is hit. It’s not bad though. Jo takes off after the suspect. She’s hesitant to shoot, still feeling the effects of the last time she fired her weapon. Henry wants the suspect to shoot him instead of Jo. He walks toward him. BANG! Jo shoots the suspect before he can harm either of them.
A flashback shows a day Henry witnessed a shooting. He tries to help the victim and ends up getting shot as well. He tried to save him after the gunman left, but took off when others neared so he could keep his secret. This is not something he was willing to do again.
Forever also stars Judd Hirsch as Abe, Lorraine Toussaint (The Young and the Restless, Orange is the New Black) as Lt. Joanne Reece, Donnie Keshawarz as Detective Hanson and Joel David Moore as Lucas.
Former The Bold and the Beautiful actress Mackenzie Mauzy recurs as Abigail Morgan.
