Lifetime Movie 'The Assault' Premieres Tonight, Stars Makenzie Vega, Khandi Alexander, Malik Yoba, Gary Weeks and Amy Bruckner

Lifetime Original Movie, The Assault, makes its World Premiere on Saturday, September 20 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The film stars Makenzie Vega (The Good Wife), Khandi Alexander (Scandal), Malik Yoba (Alphas), Gary Weeks (Resurrection) and Amy Bruckner (Phil of the Future).

The Assault follows the story of Sam, a cheerleader (Vega) who is sexually assaulted by the high school football team. Pitted against popular opinion in her community, she struggles to overcome her shame and use the evidence gathered from the subsequent social media firestorm to piece together a night she can't remember as she fights for justice.  The next scheduled airing is December 28 at 7 p.m ET/PT

The cast includes Pierson Fode, Maya Morales, Erin Cole, Andria Blackman and Enoch Danquah.
