June 5, 2014 -- New York, NY: Wallflowers’ season finale, “Roar,” premieres today, capping off a wildly successful second season which has seen the show go from DIY web series to fully funded flagship production of the new online network, Stage 17 in less than a year.  Series creator Kieran Turner is currently in talks with the network for an expanded Season 3 to begin shooting later this year.
Set in the cruelly comedic dating world of modern NYC, WALLFLOWERS details the disastrous romantic exploits of a tight knit group of Gen-X stragglers coping with the ecstasy and the agony of single life - as members of a Manhattan support group for the hopelessly single.
After a well received first season on Blip TV, WALLFLOWERS was picked up by the brand new Broadway-based digital platform, Stage 17.  Stage 17 launched April 1, featuring a slate of original programming by the best and brightest theater creatives.

WALLFLOWERS stars a talented cast of NYC based theatre and film actors, including Patch Darragh (The Glass MenagerieAppropriate, currently appearing with Cherry Jones in When We Were Young and Unafraid), Sarah Saltzberg (creator /star of Broadway's hit musical The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), Gibson Frazier (Mr. BurnsA Man’s a Man), Christianne Tisdale (Beauty & The Beast, current Broadway revival of Les Miserables), Max Crumm (GreaseDisaster), Susan Louise O’Connor (Blithe Spirit), Bryce Pinkham (current Tony nominee for A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder), Richard Gallagher (Orange is the New Black) and Marcia DeBonis (That's What She Said, The Truman Show, Whatever Works).

STAGE17 was formed by Chairman David Stoller (Executive Chairman of Reach4Entertainment) and President and Executive Producer Ondine Landa Abramson, as a new digital platform aiming “to lure a demographic of 25-to-54-year-old females by using Broadway as a jumping-off point,” (Varietyby specializing in original and curated entertainment for the world’s largest stage — the Internet.
STAGE17presents a digital experience for audiences where quality, originality, and ease of use are paramount. It is aimed at a growing community of tech-savvy individuals, with a strong interest in theatre and entertainment, for whom there is currently no dedicated digital platform. As a digital playground for Broadway and theatrical artists, STAGE17 will explore the art of storytelling, both scripted and unscripted, from masters in the craft.
