'The Young and the Restless' Actress Hunter King Becomes Series Regular on 'Life in Pieces'

Hunter King, who has played Summer Newman on The Young and the Restless since 2012, has become a series regular on the CBS sitcom Life in Pieces.

Deadline.com  reports this change in status means the actress will work without a contract on The Young and the Restless.

What will King's status change on YR mean for Summer and Luca's (Miles Gaston Villanueva) growing romance? Stay tuned!

2016 Outstanding Younger Actress In A Drama Series Emmy Predictions

The 43rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards are being held on Sunday, May 1 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.

Five actresses will compete for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series

Nominated are: Reign Edwards (Nicole) The Bold and the Beautiful, True O'Brien (Paige) Days of our Lives, Brooklyn Rae Silzer (Emma) General Hospital, Ashlyn Pearce (Aly) The Bold and the Beautiful, and Hunter King (Summer) The Young and the Restless.

Tomorrow on the April 26 episode of The Young and the Restless, Kyle Abbott (Lachlan Buchanan) is back in Genoa City. Will he be able to fix his relationship with Summer (Hunter King), or has he lost her to Luca (Miles Gaston Villanueva) forever?

Emmy winners Freddie Smith, Hunter King and Amelia Heinle appeared Monday on The Talk.
The Young and the Restless 2015 Daytime Emmy winners Amelia Heinle and Hunter King were joined by Days of our Lives winner Freddie Smith on Monday's episode of The Talk on CBS. Y&R stars Peter Bergman, Eileen Davidson, Sharon Case, Daniel Goddard, Kristoff St. John, Melissa Ordway and Gina Togoni appeared to celebrate the show's win for Outstanding Drama Series. Days of our Lives, who tied with The Young and the Restless as best drama, was represented by Deidre Hall, Lauren Koslow, Eric Martsolf and Galen Gering.

Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Awards Presenters Revealed


The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) today announced the presenters for the 42nd Annual Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Awards.

“With two Daytime icons, Alex Trebek and Florence Henderson, as our hosts and Producer/Director Michael Gargiulo as our crafts lifetime achievement honoree, this year's Creative Arts Emmy Awards will be an event that will inspire pride within the community!,” said David Michaels, Senior Vice President, Daytime.

Emmy winner Hunter King, who plays Summer Newman on The Young and the Restless visits Home & Family on Tuesday to talk about the show and her new movie A Girl Like Her, which hits theaters on March 27. King, who plays Summer Newman on Y&R, shares about her own dealings with bullying and how hard it was to play the bully in her new movie.
