Victoria Rowell
Former The Young and the Restless star Victoria Rowell is filing a complaint in federal court against CBS, Sony Pictures Television and other defendants claiming that she was denied re-employment on the highest rated daytime soap opera in the country in retaliation for her public and private complaints regarding the lack of diversity in front of and behind the camera on the show. The lawsuit was announced on Wednesday morning in a press release sent to the media along with an invitation to attend a press conference on Thursday, February 12 at 11 a.m. ET.

'The Young and the Restless' Sneak Peek: Victor Stabs Phyllis With a Needle

Dylan plans on taking care of Joe.  Will Joe end up dead?
In a new promo for CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless, Victor (Eric Braeden) picks up a needle and stabs Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) in a scene so silly and over the top it must be someone's dream or hallucination. Y&R has been guilty on multiple occasions lately of airing an over-the-top or super-sexy promo only to have it turn out to be a dream or fantasy sequence. In this case, that would be better than the scene actually taking place.

It has been years since the writers at Y&R have really understood what makes Victor Newman tick, instead portraying him as a supervillain a la James Stenbeck (As the World Turns) or Stefano DiMera (Days of our Lives). In the upcoming scene, Victor is in Helena Cassadine (General Hospital) territory.

"Maybe it's a good idea if you went back into a coma," Victor tells Phyllis in the promo before grabbing a needle to thrust into her hand as she lets out her trademark scream. That's when she'll wake up or snap out of it, right? This can't possibly actually take place.

Watch a sneak peek below and let us know if you think this is a dream.
