Sheryl Underwood Visits 'The Bold and the Beautiful'

The Talk co-host Sheryl Underwood is visiting the The Bold and the Beautiful for two episodes, beginning June 13.

Underwood is playing Emmy, a clerk that Bill (Don Diamont) crosses paths with in his search to discover if Wyatt (Darin Brooks) is legally married to Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).

As previously reported, Chaz Bono is returning as Reverend Rydell--the man who married Wyatt and Steffy- with a surprising secret. Sorry Wyatt!  Liam (Scott Clifton) may still have a chance with Steffy after all!

CBS Daytime Digital Series 'Not Safe For Daytime' Premieres Today!

CBS Daytime announced today the launch of NOT SAFE FOR DAYTIME, an edgy new series of digital videos on its YouTube channel that highlights and promotes CBS Daytime’s popular programs. The webisodes will include inventive original skits, pop culture parodies and viral video spoofs, and feature stars from CBS Daytime’s #1 lineup, LET’S MAKE A DEAL, THE PRICE IS RIGHT, THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL and THE TALK.

“CBS Daytime has one of the most passionate and loyal audiences in television, reaching 28 million viewers each week,” said Angelica McDaniel, Executive Vice President, Daytime Programs and Syndicated Program Development, CBS Entertainment and CBS Television Distribution. “We wanted to thank them by creating even more content, going behind the scenes of our series and showing a side of our talent that is, well, not safe for daytime TV! This is an irreverent, fun, ‘fresh’ way to bring CBS Daytime to our viewers everywhere at any time.”

New NOT SAFE FOR DAYTIME videos will be posted over the coming weeks to the CBS Daytime YouTube Channel. Following are examples of some of the videos:

Bold and Delicious: Actor Pierson Fodé of THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL spoofs sexy fast food burger commercials.

Draw My Life with Sharon Osbourne: Inspired by the YouTube viral videos for “Draw My Life,” THE TALK host tells her entertaining life story while humorous drawings illustrate her narrative.

Whisper Challenge with Steve Burton & Joshua Morrow: Inspired by popular video challenges featured on YouTube, THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS actors whisper fun phrases to one another while wearing noise cancelling headphones.

Priceline with Sheryl Underwood & George Gray: THE TALK host tries to cut in line at THE PRICE IS RIGHT, but find out what happens when Underwood runs into the show’s announcer, George Gray.

#LMAD: Behind the Deal: Announcer Jonathan Mangum of LET’S MAKE A DEAL pitches game ideas to his favorite Zonk characters, The Donkey, Gorilla and Turtle, that could put them out of work.

The 43rd Annual Daytime Emmy Nominations To Be Announced Live On “THE TALK,” Thursday March 24

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) and THE TALK today announced that, for the second year in a row, the Daytime Emmy Award-winning talk show will exclusively reveal the “43rd Annual Daytime Emmy® Awards” nominations live on Thursday, March 24 (2:00-3:00 PM, ET; 1:00-2:00 PM, PT/CT) on the CBS Television Network.

NATAS will release the full nominations list online immediately following the live announcement at www.emmyonline.org/daytime.

After the Daytime Emmy Awards are announced on Sunday, May 1, THE TALK will continue the celebration with its fifth annual “After Party,” honoring some of the night’s biggest winners on Monday, May 2. Guest names will be announced following the Daytime Emmy Awards early Monday morning, May 2.

'The View' Leads 'The Talk" in Women 25-54 and Women 18-49

ABC’s The View averaged 2.804 million Total Viewers, 564,000 Women 25-54 and 424,000 Women 18-49 during the week of March 7, 2016, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research.

The View led CBS’ The Talk (552,000 and 413,000, respectively) in Women 25-54 (+12,000) and Women 18-49 (+11,000), beating the CBS program in both key Women demos in 3 of the last 4 weeks.

The View delivered across-the-board increases from the year-ago week (2.592 million, 533,000 and 398,000, respectively, w/o 3/9/15): Total Viewers (+8%), Women 25-54 (+6%) and Women 18-49 (+7%).

Jason Thompson is set to appear on The Talk. Thompson has been booked on the show to discuss his new role as Billy Abbott on CBS’s 'The Young and the Restless'. He is slated to visit the show this Monday Feb 15, 2016.

Thompson has been sensational since he debuted as Billy, and it's nice to see CBS promoting his arrival to the network!

I would love to hear his thoughts about the chemistry he shares with both Amelia Heinle (Victoria), and Gina Tognoni! (Phyllis)

'The Talk' Returns To New York City The Week of December 7

The Talk returns to New York on December 7.
The Talk is unwrapping its annual holiday trip to New York City, with all-new episodes beginning Monday, December 7 through Friday, December 11. Celebrating with a star-studded week of seasonal-themed episodes, hosts Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler and Sheryl Underwood will shoot on location at the CBS Broadcast Center.

Celebrity guests scheduled to visit The Talk include Downton Abbey stars Hugh Bonneville and Elizabeth McGovern, Emmy Award-winning Wayne Brady (Let's Make a Deal), multi-platinum recording artist Josh Groban, Jake McDorman (Limitless); Jeffrey Dean Morgan (The Good Wife); rock legend Patty Smyth, lifestyle maven Martha Stewart, and multiple Grammy Award winner Trisha Yearwood. The annual “Top Chen List” is also back, featuring the ultimate countdown of the year’s most eagerly anticipated presents.

This year, The Talk will have its most festive celebration ever when it launches the “Giveaway-A-Day” celebration on Monday, November 30. Each day through Friday, Dec. 18, the studio audience will be treated to more than 1.7 million dollars in the hottest gifts, gadgets and gear to make this an unforgettable holiday season.

'The Young and the Restless' and 'Days of our Lives' Daytime Emmy Winners Visit 'The Talk' (Video)

The Young and the Restless 2015 Daytime Emmy winners Amelia Heinle and Hunter King were joined by Days of our Lives winner Freddie Smith on Monday's episode of The Talk on CBS. Y&R stars Peter Bergman, Eileen Davidson, Sharon Case, Daniel Goddard, Kristoff St. John, Melissa Ordway and Gina Togoni appeared to celebrate the show's win for Outstanding Drama Series. Days of our Lives, who tied with The Young and the Restless as best drama, was represented by Deidre Hall, Lauren Koslow, Eric Martsolf and Galen Gering.

Daytime Emmy Nominees to be Announced March 31st Live on 'The Talk'


The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) and The Talk have announced that the nominations for the 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards will be revealed live on The Talk on Tuesday, March 31 at 2 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT/CT on CBS. NATAS will release the full nominations list immediately following the program online.

Encores of this special episode of The Talk will air on Pop on Tuesday, March 31 at 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. ET/PT featuring the nominations of the Daytime Emmy Awards. The 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards ceremony airs live exclusively on Pop on Sunday, April 26 at 8 p.m., ET/5 p.m. PT.

Entertainment Tonight (ET) will follow the announcement with reaction from the nominees and analysis of the big races. CBS This Morning will recap the nominations in their 8 a.m. hour on April 1.

'The Bold and the Beautiful' and 'The Young and the Restless' Begin the New Year with Their Largest Audiences Since Last February


The Talk outdelivered The View in viewers for the first time ever with first-run episodes and tied in key women demos, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week of January 5-9, 2015.

While The Talk previously tied The View in key women demographics, this marks the first time original episodes have also finished first in viewers.

The Talk averaged 2.95 million viewers, up +9% from last week and marking its largest weekly average audience since the week of February 8-12, 2014. The Talk beat The View by +2% in viewers (vs. 2.88m). In key women demographics, both shows averaged 1.0 in women 25-54 and 0.7 in women 18-49.

CBS's daytime dramas also opened the year strongly as The Bold and the Beautiful delivered 4.05 million viewers, its largest weekly audience since the week of February 1-5, 2014, while The Young and the Restless scored its biggest audience since the week of February 15-19, 2014 with an average of 5.11 million viewers.

CBS Daytime Holiday Preview: 'The Young and the Restless' and 'The Bold and the Beautiful' Spoilers

CBS is celebrating the holidays with themed episodes of its daytime shows.
CBS Daytime gets festive this holiday season with themed episodes of Let's Make a Deal, The Price is Right, The Young and the Restless, The Bold and the Beautiful and The Talk.

Kids will take over the Daytime Emmy Award-winning game show Let's Make a Deal with a special family Christmas episode on Wednesday, December 24 (check local listings). Children ages 8-17 bring their parents to make crazy one-of-a-kind deals and celebrate the season with amazing prizes from everyone’s wish list. From an outdoor movie theater and brand-new cars to family trips to Hawaii and Alaska, there’s enough holiday cheer to make Santa’s elves jealous. The stage will be transformed into a winter wonderland with holiday décor, including lights, wreaths, Christmas trees, presents, candy canes, elves, reindeer, snowmen and Traders dressed as Santa. Plus, every audience member (naughty or nice) gets an early gift – a high-tech bluetooth speaker and an iPod Shuffle for playing their favorite holiday tunes. Host Wayne Brady and the cast will also dazzle the audience with a holiday mash-up of traditional carols and unexpected twists in the popular Juke Box Game.

'The Talk' Returing to The Big Apple December 8-12

The Talk returns to New York in December.
CBS's The Talk returns to New York City for a week of holiday-themed shows, to be broadcast Monday, December 8 - Friday, December 12 (2-3 p.m. ET/1-1 p.m. PT/CT). Hosts Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Sheryl Underwood and Aisha Tyler will shoot on location in New York for the seventh time, originating from the CBS Broadcast Center.

Throughout the week celebrity guests will include music superstar and multiple GRAMMY® Award winner Carrie Underwood and the cast of Blue Bloods, including Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes, Len Cariou, Amy Carlson and Sami Gayle, as well as chefs Lidia Bastianich and Michael Lomonaco. Additionally, host Julie Chen will present her annual "Top Chen List" featuring some her favorite holiday gift items. The full guest line up will be announced at a later date.

CBS Daytime Thanksgiving Programming Guide ('The Young and the Restless' and 'The Bold and the Beautiful' Spoilers)


CBS, the top-rated network in Daytime for 28 consecutive years, celebrates Thanksgiving with special themed episodes across the entire daypart, including holiday fare from Let's Make a Deal, The Price is Right, The Young and the Restless, The Bold and the Beautiful and The Talk.

Daytime Emmy Award-winning game show Let's Make a Deal celebrates Thanksgiving on Wednesday, November 26 (check local listings) with many traders dressed as turkeys, pilgrims and pumpkins, as well as themed games and giveaways. Games will feature a 3-Turkey Deal for big cash, a trading game including a Turkey Hotline and a giant pumpkin pie. Host Wayne Brady does his best turkey impression, and the pumpkin pie becomes the center of attention for the hungry cast. Plus, the entire studio audience will receive a family heirloom cookbook project with which they can design, create and publish their own cookbook with family holiday recipes that they can hand down to future generations.

The Young and the Restless star Jessica Collins (Avery Clark) will appear on the Monday, November 17 episode of The Talk on CBS. Her segment will featuring cooking with Thanksgiving leftovers.

Academy Award-winning actor Matthew McConaughey also appears to promote his new film Interstellar. The "Top Talker" of the day will be Jaymes Vaughan from OK! TV.

CBS's The Talk delivered its largest audience in six months, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending November 2.

The Talk averaged 2.71 million viewers, up +5% from last week, marking its largest average audience since the week ending May 2.

Four stars from CBS daytime drama The Bold and the Beautiful will appear on The Talk, Wednesday, November 5.

Ashleigh Brewer (Ivy Forrester), Darin Brooks (Wyatt Spencer), Scott Clifton (Liam Spencer) and Kimberly Matula (Hope Logan Spencer) will talk about their show's recent location shoot in the Netherlands, which airs in November.

Watch 'The Young and the Restless' Stars Scott Elrod, Burgess Jenkins, Gina Tognoni & Justin Hartley on 'The Talk' (Video)


New The Young and the Restless actors Scott Elrod, Justin Hartley, Burgess Jenkins and Emmy winner Gina Tognoni visited The Talk on Friday, October 24.

Jenkins took over the role of Billy Abbott on the soap in June. Tognoni debuted as the new Phyllis Summers Newman in August. Elrod first appeared at the end of September as Avery's ex, Joe Clark. Hartley is scheduled to debut in the role of Adam Newman on November 5.

Hartley was asked what he could reveal about the new Adam.

"They've done a really great job of getting me in there, getting my story out really quickly, and moving on," Hartley revealed.

Tognoni joked about learning not to drink coffee when portraying a character in a coma.

CBS continues a trend of cross promoting its daytime shows when four recent additions to the cast of The Young and the Restless appear on The Talk. Actors Scott Elrod, Justin Hartley, Burgess Jenkins and Emmy winner Gina Tognoni will visit the talk show on Friday, October 24.

Jenkins took over the role of Billy Abbott on the soap in June. Tognoni debuted as the new Phyllis Summers Newman in August. Elrod first appeared at the end of September as Avery's ex, Joe Clark. Hartley is scheduled to debut in the role of Adam Newman on November 5.

The Talk is hosted by Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler and Sheryl Underwood. The October 24 episode will include news anchor Pat Harvey of KCBS-TV, Los Angeles as guest co-host; Neil Patrick Harris discussing his new autobiography; and chef Reed Alexander, who cooks a rustic roasted chicken dinner.

Ratings: Impressive Year-to-Year Growth for 'The Bold and the Beautiful,' 'The Young and the Restless' and CBS Daytime


All five daytime series airing on CBS posted year-to-year growth last week, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. The network's two daytime dramas, The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful, were up double-digits in the key female demographics.

For the week of October 6-10, 2014, The Young and the Restless was up +5% in viewers (4.74m from 4.52m), +12% in women 25-54 (1.9/13 from 1.7/11) and +18% in women 18-49 (1.3/09 from 1.1/08) compared to the same week last year.

CBS Daytime Finishes Broadcast Season as #1 Network for 28th Year in a Row


The 2013-2014 television season officially ended last week and CBS Daytime finished at #1 for the 28th consecutive year. Let's Make a Deal and The Talk rose to their largest audiences ever, while The Price is Right, The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless delivered their largest viewer totals in years.

Below is a breakdown of the CBS Daytime programs:

* Let's Make a Deal 1 averaged 2.93 million viewers and Let's Make a Deal 2 averaged 3.39m viewers, both up +9% from a year ago to series bests.
* The Price is Right 1 averaged 4.83m viewers, increasing +8% and delivering its largest audience since 2004-2005. Meanwhile, The Price is Right 2, daytime's #1 program, averaged 5.60m viewers, was up +5%, marking its largest audience since 2006-2007.
* The Talk delivered its largest-ever audience with 2.67 million viewers, up +10% from last year.
* The Bold and the Beautiful averaged 3.84m, up +7%, scoring the daytime drama's largest audience since the 2006-2007 year.
* The Young and the Restless delivered 5.10m, a +5% jump from a year ago, delivering its largest audience since the 2009-2010 year.
