CBS Daytime Digital Series 'Not Safe For Daytime' Premieres Today!

CBS Daytime announced today the launch of NOT SAFE FOR DAYTIME, an edgy new series of digital videos on its YouTube channel that highlights and promotes CBS Daytime’s popular programs. The webisodes will include inventive original skits, pop culture parodies and viral video spoofs, and feature stars from CBS Daytime’s #1 lineup, LET’S MAKE A DEAL, THE PRICE IS RIGHT, THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL and THE TALK.

“CBS Daytime has one of the most passionate and loyal audiences in television, reaching 28 million viewers each week,” said Angelica McDaniel, Executive Vice President, Daytime Programs and Syndicated Program Development, CBS Entertainment and CBS Television Distribution. “We wanted to thank them by creating even more content, going behind the scenes of our series and showing a side of our talent that is, well, not safe for daytime TV! This is an irreverent, fun, ‘fresh’ way to bring CBS Daytime to our viewers everywhere at any time.”

New NOT SAFE FOR DAYTIME videos will be posted over the coming weeks to the CBS Daytime YouTube Channel. Following are examples of some of the videos:

Bold and Delicious: Actor Pierson Fodé of THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL spoofs sexy fast food burger commercials.

Draw My Life with Sharon Osbourne: Inspired by the YouTube viral videos for “Draw My Life,” THE TALK host tells her entertaining life story while humorous drawings illustrate her narrative.

Whisper Challenge with Steve Burton & Joshua Morrow: Inspired by popular video challenges featured on YouTube, THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS actors whisper fun phrases to one another while wearing noise cancelling headphones.

Priceline with Sheryl Underwood & George Gray: THE TALK host tries to cut in line at THE PRICE IS RIGHT, but find out what happens when Underwood runs into the show’s announcer, George Gray.

#LMAD: Behind the Deal: Announcer Jonathan Mangum of LET’S MAKE A DEAL pitches game ideas to his favorite Zonk characters, The Donkey, Gorilla and Turtle, that could put them out of work.

CBS Daytime has been #1 in the day-part for 29 consecutive years, featuring a balance of dramas, game shows and talk. James O'Halloran Wins 'The Price is Right' Male Model Search

James O'Halloran won The Price Right male model search.
After the first-ever nationwide search, the fans have voted, and today network television’s #1-rated daytime series The Price is Right named James O'Halloran the winner of the male model search on the longest-running game show. He officially begins his week-long modeling gig Monday, December 15 (11 a.m.-12 p.m. ET; 10-11 a.m. PT) on CBS.

O'Halloran hails from Melbourne, Australia. The 30-year-old industrial designer grew up watching the Australian version of The Price is Right. For fun he enjoys singing karaoke to "Under the Bridge" by Red Hot Chili Peppers, and if he could only eat one meal for the rest of his life it would be steak and chips.

Raphael Thompson Joins 'The Bold and the Beautiful' After Elimination From 'The Price is Right' Male Model Search

Recently eliminated The Price is Right Male Model Search contested Raphael Thompson has landed a role on another CBS daytime show, the soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. He will play Matt, a Forrester Creations employee, starting November 20.

"To even make it that far in the competition was really great,” Thompson tells Soap Opera Digest. "To make it that far and have the opportunity to go to the next level of my career and have the opportunity to be on The Bold and the Beautiful was just that much more great."

Thompson watched both TPIR and B&B as a kid.

"As a child wanting to be an actor because of soap operas and actually being on The Bold and the Beautiful was like, 'Wow, I could really get used to doing this.'" he says.

"It would be an amazing and humbling pleasure to be a series regular," adds Thompson. "That would be the ultimate reward."

'The Bold and the Beautiful' Ratings: 3.64M Average The Week of September 25-29, 2014


CBS Daytime shows notched viewer increases compared to the same week last year, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week of September 25-29, 2014.

Let's Make a Deal 1 was up +8% (2.88m from 2.65m), Let's Make a Deal 2 gained +6% (3.43m from 3.22m), The Price is Right 1 was up +3% (4.65m from 4.52m), The Bold and the Beautiful gained +2% (3.64m from 3.57m) and The Talk grew +3% (2.70m from 2.62m).

The Talk also tied The View in women 25-54 (1.1).

The Bold and the Beautiful was also up over the previous week (3.64m from 3.43m).

In other network news, The Price is Right and Let's Make a Deal will go pink to recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month with themed shows on Friday, October 3 and Tuesday, October 14 respectively.

The Price is Right will raise awareness for Breast Cancer on October 3 when it welcomes a studio audience full of courageous fighters, survivors and their supporters. Contestants will have the chance to win luxurious prizes, including designer jewelry, handbags and apparel; trips to Aruba, Hawaii and Sonoma; brand new cars; and a $5,000 shopping spree in Beverly Hills.

On October 14, Let's Make a Deal will honor an audience filled with cancer survivors, family and friends when host Wayne Brady presents themed prizes as part of various deals, including pink jewelry, pink workout gear and a bright pink scooter. In addition to pink-themed prizes, multiple cars and trips to Hawaii and Jamaica are available for lucky Traders who make the right deals.

'The Young and the Restless' Stars Melissa Ordway and Daniel Goddard Returning to 'The Price is Right' on June 6 During Socially Awesome Week

Socially Awesome Week is coming to The Price is Right.
The Price is Right will feature "Socially Awesome Week," a full week of interactive, fan-driven episodes that will span a number of social media platforms including Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest and Facebook. The episodes will run Monday, June 2 – Friday, June 6 on CBS.

"What better way to celebrate Price's awesome fans than with our themed 'Socially Awesome Week'?" said Angelica McDaniel, Senior Vice President, CBS Daytime.
