Chrishell Stause Talks New Y&R Role Bethany Bryant.

Chrishell Stause (ex-Jordan DAYS; ex-Amanda AMC) has joined the cast of The Young and the Restless in the recurring role of Bethany Bryant, and the actress couldn't be happier.

"As an actress, it's one of those parts you always hope to get, so I feel I really lucked out," Stause tells Soap Opera Digest.

How does Stause describe her new character? "I would describe her as completely in the moment, very fun and a little ornery. Bethany is definitely out to have fun at other people's expense. I'm excited for this character to start airing because she is so much fun to play."

The popular actress is currently working without a contract, but she is fine with that for the time being. "I feel the possibilities are endless with this character. I'm having a lot of fun with this and I guess we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. Right now, I'm having a blast and I can't wait to see where this goes, so who knows?"

Stause didn't have any first-day jitters. "Aside from already having so many friends over there and joining all these familiar faces on an amazing show, it's the perfect character for me, so that really helped..."

Familiar faces include her real-life boyfriend Justin Hartley (Adam) and best friend, Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea). "Even though I'm given my own dressing room, I end up together with one of them anyway," she laughs. "Just in the few days I've been there, it's been nice that we've had lunch together. There's a lot of hard work going on, but it's awesome when you have down time and you can sneak in and say, 'Hey, I'm going to grab some food, are you hungry?' It's a cool perk of the job."

Stause debuts as Bethany Bryant on May 25.
