How is Spencer going to react when he learns his father Nikolas (Tyler Christopher) is missing?

General Hospital Co-Head Writers Shelly Altman and Jean Passanante tell Soap Opera Digest, "Spencer's reaction is unusual, but then, so is Spencer. He seems ready to accept his father's death awfully quickly." They add, "Laura's concern that her grandson is in denial leads her to turn to a friend for help."

I wonder who that friend could be! Could that friend be Kevin?

According to a report by Jamey Giddens from Daytime Confidential, Tyler Christopher will soon vacate his role of Nikolas Cassadine on General Hospital.

Soap vet Nick Stabile (Passions, Days of our Lives) will temporarily take over the role of Nikolas while Christopher takes time off from the role for personal reasons.

The switch is expected to be short-term. More news as it develops.

During the week of December 8-12, 2014 on ABC soap opera General Hospital, Nikolas (Tyler Christopher) lectures Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) about letting "Jake" move into her home.

"He does even know his name," Liz tries to explain.

"Which means you don't know who he is either," Nikolas replies.

"I trust him," she says.

"Based on what?" Nikolas asks.

"My gut," she tells him. "Not that I expect you to understand."

"No, I understand perfectly, he says, "you have a huge bleeding heart, it's one of the reasons why I love you."

During the week of October 13-17, 2014 on ABC soap opera General Hospital, Nikolas (Tyler Christopher) and Spencer (Nicholas Bechtel) have a heart to heart talk about Spencer's mother, the late Courtney Matthews.

"I hate that I never knew her," Spencer tells his father.

"Yeah, me too," says Nikolas.

"Is it strange that I miss her anyway?" Spencer asks.

"No, not at all," Nikolas replies. "You're mother is a huge part of your life whether you knew her or not."

'General Hospital' Star Tyler Christopher and Wife Brienne Expecting Baby in May

General Hospital star Tyler Christopher (Nikolas Cassadine) and his wife, Brienne Pedigo, have revealed that she is pregnant. The couple already shares a 5-year-old son, Greysun James, and will add a new baby to their family in 2015.

"Thank you all for the great baby wishes!" the actor tweeted. "Coming in May."

When Tyler and Brienne appeared on ABC's Celebrity Wife Swap in July, their home life was described as follows:

"Tyler is a hands-on dad who likes to spend time with his family. Tyler and Brienne are "outdoorsy" people who enjoy exercising and spending numerous hours at the beach. The family also likes to eat healthy with Tyler as head chef in the kitchen, where he weighs every food item the family plans to eat and uses an app to consider the impact of the calories and nutrition on all of them. Greysun is a very picky eater who doesn't like most foods, causing Tyler and Brianne some frustration when it comes to meal time."

On ABC's Celebrity Wife Swap, the matriarchs of two celebrity families swap spouses, kids and homes for a week in order for the families to adapt to changes, as well as appreciate what they already have.

The Tuesday, July 22nd episode will feature General Hospital star Tyler Christopher (Nikolas Cassadine) and Ronn Moss, who played Ridge Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful for 25 years.

Christopher's wife, Brienne, will spend a week living in the Moss home while the Player guitarist's wife, Devin DeVasquez, heads to the Christopher house.
