The CW 2015-2016 Schedule Revealed
The CW Network presented its 2015-16 broadcast schedule today to advertisers, affiliates and national media at New York City Center in New York City. The indie-pop band Of Monsters and Men kicked off the presentation with a live performance of their latest single “Crystals,” and their international hit song “Little Talks.”
“This has been a terrific season for The CW, and is a result of a strategy we set in motion a few years ago to broaden out and grow our audience,” said Pedowitz. “We had our most watched season, and our highest-rated season among men, in seven years. We launched The CW’s most watched series ever with THE FLASH, and with THE FLASH and JANE THE VIRGIN, we received more critical acclaim than ever before.
“The CW is heading into next season with incredible stability and strength, and continuing its strategy of adding more original programming all year long. Our new fall series CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND is original and hilarious, and will work as a perfect companion for JANE on Monday nights, while at midseason we have the much-anticipated DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW, and the tense action of CONTAINMENT. These three new series are a terrific complement to our already strong schedule, and allow us to keep building on our momentum in 2015-16.”
The CW will launch its 2015-16 broadcast season in October, with premiere dates to be announced later.

'iZombie' Premieres March 17, 'Supernatural' Moves to Wednesdays Starting March 18
iZombie premieres March 17 on The CW. |
From executive producer Rob Thomas, iZombie makes its series debut on Tuesday, March 17, (9-10 p.m. ET), following an all-new episode of The Flash (8-9 p.m. ET). Rose McIver (Masters of Sex, Once Upon A Time) stars as Olivia Liv Moore, a rosy-cheeked, disciplined, over-achieving medical resident who had her life path completely mapped out… until the night she attended a party that unexpectedly turned into a zombie feeding frenzy. As one of the newly undead, Liv has devised a way to resist her baser urges to devour fresh human brains – she’s taken a job in the Seattle coroner’s office. In this appropriately dead-end job, she can secretly snack on the brains of the many Jane and John Doe corpses that make a final stop in the morgue. Liv remains resigned to an eternity without hope or purpose, until she realizes that with every brain she consumes, she retains a portion of that person’s memories, and she begins to experience visions from the point of view of the murder victims. It’s not the same as being alive again, but at least she can find purpose in her undead existence by helping to solve the murders of those who are indeed fully dead.

The CW Network has picked up eight of its current series for the 2015-2016 season, it was announced by Mark Pedowitz, President, The CW, during the network’s session at the Television Critics Association Press Tour in Pasadena. The series being ordered for the 2015-2016 season include Arrow (Season 4), Jane The Virgin (Season 2), Reign (Season 3), Supernatural (Season 11), The 100 (Season 3), The Flash (Season 2), The Originals (Season 3) and The Vampire Diaries (Season 7).
