Britney Spears will be guest starring on and upcoming episode of Jane the Virgin.
Said executive producer Jennie Snyder Urman: "We are so thrilled that Rogelio's 'nemesis'" -- Britney Spears -- has agreed to appear on Jane the Virgin in episode 205. The CW 2015-2016 Schedule Revealed
The CW Network presented its 2015-16 broadcast schedule today to advertisers, affiliates and national media at New York City Center in New York City. The indie-pop band Of Monsters and Men kicked off the presentation with a live performance of their latest single “Crystals,” and their international hit song “Little Talks.”
“This has been a terrific season for The CW, and is a result of a strategy we set in motion a few years ago to broaden out and grow our audience,” said Pedowitz. “We had our most watched season, and our highest-rated season among men, in seven years. We launched The CW’s most watched series ever with THE FLASH, and with THE FLASH and JANE THE VIRGIN, we received more critical acclaim than ever before.
“The CW is heading into next season with incredible stability and strength, and continuing its strategy of adding more original programming all year long. Our new fall series CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND is original and hilarious, and will work as a perfect companion for JANE on Monday nights, while at midseason we have the much-anticipated DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW, and the tense action of CONTAINMENT. These three new series are a terrific complement to our already strong schedule, and allow us to keep building on our momentum in 2015-16.”
The CW will launch its 2015-16 broadcast season in October, with premiere dates to be announced later.

The CW Network has picked up eight of its current series for the 2015-2016 season, it was announced by Mark Pedowitz, President, The CW, during the network’s session at the Television Critics Association Press Tour in Pasadena. 'Jane The Virgin' May Be The Best New Serial of 2014, Debuts to Solid Ratings Start
Gina Rodriguez stars in Jane The Virgin. |
Jane Villanueva (Gina Rodriguez) is a driven young woman studying to become a teacher, nursing a dream to be a writer, and supporting herself with a job at a hot new Miami hotel. All the years of watching telenovelas with the two women who raised her - her sexy, young-at-heart mother, Xiomara (Andrea Navedo) and her still-devout grandmother, Alba (Ivonne Coll) - have given Jane a slightly unrealistic view of romance, but her wonderful fiancé, Michael (Brett Dier), is supportive and even understands her decision to "save herself" until marriage.
All of Jane's meticulous life plans are turned upside down, however, when she sees her doctor for a routine check-up and is accidentally artificially inseminated with a specimen meant for someone else. Now, Jane is faced with the most important decisions of her life - a life that has suddenly become as dramatic, complicated and unpredictable as the telenovelas she has always loved.

The CW Network presented its 2014-15 broadcast schedule today to advertisers, affiliates and national media at New York City Center in New York City.
"This is a different CW than we were just a few years ago. Our audience is broader and more inclusive than it has ever been, and we are growing on-air and on all digital platforms," said Mark Pedowitz, President, The CW.
"We just finished our most-watched season in three years, and our schedule is as strong as it has ever been, with more vibrant and more diverse programming. Next season, with super hero action shows like "Arrow" and "The Flash," epic fantasies like "The Vampire Diaries" and "Reign," the apocalyptic worlds of "The Messengers" and "The 100," and the outrageous comedy of "Jane the Virgin" and "Whose Line Is It Anyway?," we will build and expand our audience even more, and keep our momentum going with the kind of high-octane, high-impact entertainment that our viewers love."
The CW will launch its fall season in October 2014, with premiere dates to be announced at a later time.
