Melissa Reeves: "We Will Get Into That Whole Thing With Chad, When Jennifer Tries to Get Custody of Thomas."

Melissa Reeves
Michael Logan from TV Insider recently spoke with Days of our Lives favorite Melissa Reeves about Jennifer's drug addiction, Jack's (Matthew Ashford) return, Jennifer's attempt to fight for custody of Thomas, and that pesky lighting on the show!

How bad does it get for Jennifer? "Really bad. When she finally loses it and everything comes crashing down, they do a whole episode with my character falling apart. The entire episode. This drug story has been very well written. It’s sweet because they brought back Matt Ashford [Jack], I guess as a ghost... The scenes are only Jack and Jennifer. No one else sees him, so he’s either a ghost or she wants to see Jack so much that it’s all in her mind. He shows up and talks her through things when she’s at her worst and it’s pretty wonderful. I’m glad they did that. It’s also times like this when I really miss Macdonald Carey [Tom] and Frances Reid [Alice]. To have her grandparents around to help Jennifer get through this would have been amazing. I also wish Frances had been with us when the ladies in the Salem book club ate the marijuana donuts. [Laughs] She would have been the icing on those scenes!

Kassie DePaiva Continues to Shine as Eve on 'Days of our Lives'

Kassie DePaiva as Eve on Days of our Lives.
Kassie DePaiva continues to give an enthralling performance as Eve on Days of our Lives. But what exactly is Eve's last name?  Is she Eve Baron? Eve Donovan? Eve Donovan Deveraux? Eve Larson?  While we try to figure that out, Eve has lit a fire in Salem, and has even made Paige (True O'Brien) and JJ (Casey Moss) more interesting as a couple. I'm worried about those poor kids. Thanks, Kassie DePaiva!

'Days of our Lives' Promo: Emmy-Nominated Kassie DePaiva Debuts as Eve Donovan This Week! (Spoilers)

Kassie DePaiva debuts as Eve Donovan on Days of our Lives this week.
This week on Days of our Lives, popular actress Kassie DePaiva (One Life to Live, Guiding Light) makes her much-anticipated return to daytime as the new Eve Donovan on Days of our Lives.

Last week on Days, Paige (True O'Brien) told JJ (Casey Moss) that her mother was coming to Salem. It looks as if Eve is Paige's mother! With Jennifer's (Melissa Reeves) son dating Eve's daughter, sparks are sure to fly.

Poor Jennifer. Daniel (Shawn Christian) has had it with her, and Eve will apparently be needing Dr. Daniel's medical expertise. Jennifer knows better than anyone how turned on Daniel gets by his patients.

FLASHBACK: Soap Opera Stars Sing on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' including Victoria Rowell, Rick Hearst, Matthew Ashford and Melissa Reeves

In 1992, Victoria Rowell (ex-Drucilla, The Young and the Restless), Rick Hearst (Alan-Michael on Guiding Light at the time), Matthew Ashford (ex-Jack, Days of Our Lives), Melissa Reeves (Jennifer, Days of Our Lives), Scott Reeves (ex-Ryan, The Young and the Restless), Michael Damian (ex-Danny, The Young and the Restless), Wally Kurth (Ned, General Hospital) and Brenda Epperson (ex-Ashley, The Young and the Restless) appeared on the The Oprah Winfrey Show, to perform, "The Eyes of A Child."

At the time, the Los Angeles Times reported:

In the tradition of "We Are the World" and "Voices That Care," 38 daytime soap opera stars have joined forces to record the anthem "The Eyes of a Child." The project is intended to help fight child abuse in the United States and Canada."

I remember when this first aired on Oprah and it's wonderful to be able to see it again.  But now, so many questions come to mind.  Who knew Rick Hearst had such a great voice and why doesn't Ric Lansing break into song to romance Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) on General Hospital? Will Victoria Rowell ever return to Genoa City as Drucilla Winters Barber? Did Scott Reeves (who was once in a country music duo) really allow his wife Melissa to sing with another man, even though it was Matthew Ashford?

As we ponder these questions, the video below will help you take a look back in time and enjoy "The Eyes Of a Child."
