'WWE Smackdown' Moves to USA Network in 2016


USA is expanding its commitment to the live action entertainment company WWE, bringing SmackDown to the network in the first quarter of 2016. Now the exclusive cable home to WWE marquee properties, USA airs the powerhouse Monday Night Raw live 52 weeks a year and the reality competition series WWE Tough Enough, which returns this summer in a reimagined format with live elements.

"WWE consistently delivers one of the largest and most socially engaged live audiences in entertainment and we're excited to expand our long-standing relationship and be the true cable home for the WWE fan," said USA Network President Chris McCumber.

WWE And NBCUniversal Launch 'For the Hero In All of Us' Brand Campaign


NBCUniversal and WWE today unveiled a comprehensive brand campaign, “For The Hero In All of Us,” that will air across NBCUniversal's expansive network of two broadcast networks, 17 cable channels and more than 50 digital properties in addition to all of WWE's platforms. In conjunction, NBCUniversal and WWE will engage consumers through #MyHeroIs inviting fans to name their favorite WWE Superstars and share personal and inspirational stories of heroism.

WWE Network Celebrates First Birthday With Free 24-Hour Marathon on WWE.com and the WWE App


In celebration of WWE Network’s first birthday, fans around the world can sample WWE Network with a 24-hour “Best Of” programming marathon streamed for free on WWE.com and through the WWE App with no WWE account or credit card required, immediately following tonight’s Monday Night Raw®. For the remainder of February, the full WWE Network experience is available for free for new subscribers.

The action-packed programming marathon will feature exclusive WWE Network programs, including groundbreaking NXT TakeOver events, original series such as Monday Night War and Legends House, WWE Network specials including The Stone Cold Podcast with Special Guests Vince McMahon and Triple H and Journey to WrestleMania 30: Daniel Bryan.

'WWE Week' on USA Network Kicks Off December 15


USA Network and WWE will kick off the holiday season with an action-packed "WWE Week." The week kicks off December 15, with Monday Night Raw, followed by a live Smackdown and a two-hour Tribute to the Troops special, along with a week-long daytime roadblock featuring interviews with the WWE Superstars and Divas.

Both Raw and Smackdown feature a star-studded cast of WWE Superstars and Divas, and deliver a shot of adrenaline to viewers with over-the-top action, feats of athleticism and high octane-drama.

'Today' Show's Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford Invade 'WWE Monday Night Raw' on October 6


Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford, the lively, funny and entertaining co-stars of the Today show's fourth hour on NBC are putting down their wine glasses and joining WWE as guest stars on Monday Night Raw on October 6 at 8 p.m. ET/7PM CT on USA Network.

Kotb, who is a seven-year breast cancer survivor and Gifford, will join WWE for its third consecutive year supporting Susan G. Komen and National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Before Kotb and Gifford rule the ring, WWE Superstar John Cena will make a guest appearance on the TODAY show in the iconic fourth hour segment to give them a pep talk to prepare for the show.

WWE Entertainment (10 p.m. ET/USA) - 3.97 million viewers, 1.4 Adults 18-49 rating
Mistresses (10 p.m. ET, ABC) - 3.3 million viewers, 0.7 Adults 18-49 rating
Teen Wolf (10 p.m. ET/MTV) - 1.48 million viewers, 0.7 Adults 18-49 rating

At 8 o'clock, the summer finale of Switched At Birth hit 4-week highs in Total Viewers (1.3 million), Women 18-34 (355,000/1.1 rating), Women 18-49 (574,000/0.9 rating) and Females 12-34 (501,000/1.1 rating) – since 7/21/14.

At 9 o'clock, The Fosters' summer finale registered its 2nd-best ratings this season in Adults 18-34 (514,000/0.8 rating), Adults 18-49 (791,000/0.6 rating) and Viewers 12-34 (774,000/0.8 rating) – behind 7/21/14 – and generated 4-week highs in Total Viewers (1.5 million), Women 18-34 (426,000/1.3 rating), Women 18-49 (627,000/1.0 rating), and Females 12-34 (665,000/1.5 rating).

David Otunga Appears on 'General Hospital' July 30th

Professional wrestler, lawyer, and actor David Otunga will appear on the Wednesday, July 30 episode of ABC soap opera General Hospital. Otunga, who is Alice's (Bergen Williams) wrestling hero, surprises Alice in her hospital room.

The WWE star is married to actress and singer Jennifer Hudson. On August 10, 2009, Hudson gave birth to the couple's first child, a boy named David Daniel Otunga, Jr.

In April 2014 Otunga competed in the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania XXX, but failed to win as he was eliminated by Big E.

Season Three of 'Total Divas' Premieres Sunday, September 7th

E!, WWE and Bunim-Murray Productions continue their intimate look inside the glamorous, hectic and often dramatic lives of the WWE Divas when Total Divas returns for season three Sunday, September 7th at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Cameras will once again shadow WWE Divas The Bella Twins (Nikki and Brie Bella), Natalya (Nattie), Naomi (Trinity), Cameron (Ariane) and rookies Eva Marie, and Summer Rae giving viewers insight into how these women, who are on the road for 52 weeks a year, balance their personal lives while fighting for the spotlight. In addition, WWE Diva Rosa Mendes joins the cast, as the fiery Latina who has been around WWE for years has finally found herself in the limelight. Season two of Total Divas is currently airing all-new episodes every Sunday at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment Reaches Multi-Year Deal with WWE for 'Monday Night Raw' on USA Network and 'Smackdown' on Syfy

NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment and WWE (NYSE: WWE) today announced a multi-year strategic partnership for WWE's flagship programming and ratings juggernauts MONDAY NIGHT RAW for a three-hour block on USA Network and the top-rated FRIDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN on Syfy. The two programs are the longest-running weekly episodic entertainment programs on cable TV with a combined reach of 10.8M viewers each week. The announcement was made today by Paul "Triple H" Levesque, WWE Executive Vice President Talent, Live Events & Creative, from the stage at the NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment upfront presentation at the Javitz Center in New York.

"USA Network President Chris McCumber, Syfy President Dave Howe and I are incredibly pleased to renew this strategic partnership with WWE," said NBCUniversal Cable Chairman Bonnie Hammer. "In today's TV landscape, live event programming is an extraordinarily valuable asset, and WWE remains the only entertainment franchise that consistently delivers this on a 52-week a year basis.
