10-Episode 'Tyrant' Season 3 Coming to FX in 2016
FX has renewed Tyrant, from Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning Executive Producer Howard Gordon, for a 10-episode third season in 2016.
"Tyrant's second season took the show to a new level thanks to the skill and direction of Howard, Chris and Glenn and their creative team, the exceptional cast and a story steeped in family, loyalty and intrigue," said Eric Schrier, President of Original Programming, FX Networks. "We look forward to the next chapter and a sensational third season of Tyrant."
Season 2 of Tyrant was executive produced by Showrunner Howard Gordon, along with Glenn Gordon Caron, Chris Keyser, David Fury, Gideon Raff, Avi Nir and Hugh Fitzpatrick. Tyrant is produced by Fox 21 Television Studios and FX Productions.
On a Live+7 basis, season 2 of Tyrant averaged 2.47 million Total Viewers and 1.05 million Adults 18-49.
Tyrant is the story of an unassuming American family drawn into the inner workings of a turbulent Middle Eastern nation. Bassam "Barry" Al-Fayeed (Adam Rayner), the youngest son of a war-torn country's controversial dictator, returns to his homeland after a self-imposed 20-year exile in America, only to be forced back into the treacherous familial and national politics of his youth. When his brother, Jamal (Ashraf Barhom), assumes the presidency, Barry becomes a powerful force within the government, fueled by visions of bringing humanitarian freedoms to his homeland. Upon realizing that Jamal lacks any sense of justice or morality, Barry colluded with members of the U.S. government on a failed attempt at overthrowing his tyrannical reign and was arrested on charges of treason. Having been betrayed by the West, Jamal now sets his sights on the East, developing an alliance with China that he hopes will make Abuddin a global power. But Barry continues to be a thorn in Jamal's side, becoming a symbol of freedom for the increasingly vocal insurgency.

FX Networks Statement Regarding Its Decision Not to Submit 'Fargo' for the WGA Awards
FX Networks statement regarding its decision not to submit Fargo for the WGA Awards:
"When the WGA Award nominations were announced this morning, several news outlets commented about the notable omission of FX's award-winning miniseries Fargo. The network initially submitted Fargo in the longform category based on the fact that the 10 one-hour scripts - all written by Noah Hawley - tell a single, close-ended story and therefore Fargo is a miniseries. The WGA does not recognize Fargo as a miniseries because Noah Hawley was accorded a 'Created for Television By' credit and said that Fargo could only be considered in the drama series category. Fargo won the Emmy Award this year for Outstanding Miniseries. It has been submitted as a miniseries for this year's Golden Globe Awards. Since Fargo is not in fact a drama series, and it is in fact a miniseries, FX made the decision not to submit Noah Hawley and his brilliant scripts for WGA Awards consideration." - FX Networks

The series features the voices of H. Jon Benjamin as the highly skilled and incredibly vain master spy “Sterling Archer;” Aisha Tyler as Archer’s fellow agent and ex-girlfriend, “Lana Kane;” Jessica Walter as Archer’s domineering mother and spy agency director, “Malory Archer;” Chris Parnell as the easily intimidated comptroller-turned secret agent “Cyril Figgis;” Judy Greer as Malory’s loquacious, dingbat secretary, “Cheryl;” Amber Nash as the discordant director of human resources, “Pam Poovey;” Adam Reed as the gay voice of reason, “Ray Gillette;” and Lucky Yates as the spy agency’s possibly mad scientist/ possibly clone of himself, “Krieger.”
