Lynn Herring Back to 'General Hospital' for Good?

Last week popular actress Lynn Herring returned to General Hospital as Lucy Coe for the Nurses' Ball, but will this be the last we see of Herring now that the event is over?

Herring tells Soap Opera Digest, Lucy will continue to spend time in Port Charles. "I said to [Frank Valentini, executive producer], 'When you have something interesting, I'll definitely be back; the Nurses' Ball isn't the end of Lucy, it just may not be right away [that she's seen again]. I'm hopeful that Lucy can be involved in what's going on between Kevin and Laura. I think that could be very juicy and interesting and fun, with so much history between all characters."

Port Charles is a brighter town when Lucy Coe is on the scene. I truly hope we will continue to see more of Herring and Lucy in the months to come.

You can read the full interview with Herring in the May 30, 2016 issue of Soap Opera Digest.

Lynn Herring Talks 'General Hospital' Return

Lynn Herring: Jill Johnson/JPI
In the latest Issue of Soap Opera Digest, Lynn Herring talks about her return to General Hospital as Lucy Coe.

"I hadn't realized how much I missed GH until they booked the first show and I got really sentimental and emotional," Herring tells Digest. "In March, 30 years ago, I got the job and Lucy aired for the first time [on] April 11, 1986. What an amazing gift that was and what a life GH has given me. So to come back on that anniversary is so sweet!"

According to Digest, Herring reported back to the set on April 13, two days after her milestone, for the first of her wardrobe fittings.

Welcome back Lynn and Lucy!

Will Laura and Kevin Find Love on 'General Hospital'?

New love on General Hospital?
Earlier this week, Daytime Confidential teased that our beloved Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) was finally going to get some action on General Hospital. Jamey Giddens said, "I will tease you with this... he's a doctor and he's the ex-hubby of another beloved veteran character. Those are the only clues you're getting!

Today, Jon Lindstrom returned to GH as Dr. Kevin Collins, and he was also once married to Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring).

In GH's latest promo, it features Laura and Kevin sharing coffee and conversation. Is romance brewing?

Laura needs a romance that doesn't involve Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary), and Kevin seems like a great candidate. What would Scotty (Kin Shriner) and Lucy think?

What do you think of the possibility of Laura and Kevin getting together on General Hospital? Would love to hear your thoughts!

Check out a clip of Laura and Kevin below:

'General Hospital' Segments Airing on ABC 7 in New York Every Monday in November (Watch the First)

"We're there comfort food," Lynn Herring says about the longtime characters on the show.
ABC 7 in New York City air a segment on General Hospital on Monday, featuring some of the cast and executive producer Frank Valentini talking about the show's turnaround from the brink of cancellation three years ago. The features includes Ryan Paevey (Nathan), Vinessa Antoine (Jordan), Lynn Herring (Lucy), Finola Hughes (Anna), Jason Thompson (Patrick) and Laura Wright (Carly).

"What happened on October 31st and just shifted everything in Port Charles," Wright teases.

Historical Note: Laura Wright debuted as Carly on General Hospital 9 years ago today (November 4, 2005).

"Problems for me come in two forms, romantic and family," Paevey adds. "I got problems in both arenas going on right now"

"It's a big commitment to watch five hours of television a week, it's a lot to ask the fans," says Valentini. "I think when you're asking someone to give you that much, you need to give back in equal measure."

Soap Opera Best of the Week (May 12-16, 2014)

It was an exciting week in the world of daytime soap operas. General Hospital's Nurses Ball ended but not before Ronn Moss performed with his band, Player, and Lucy Coe's (Lynn Herring) affair with Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) was revealed to the world. That set up an showdown for the ages between Lucy and Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman). On The Bold and the Beautiful, Aly Forrester (Ashley Pearce) and Taylor Hayes (Hunter Tylo) revisited Darla's death, and Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) became engaged. Days of our Lives featured the fallout of Nick Fallon's murder, while The Young and the Restless focused on Sharon Newman's (Sharon Case) secret and Neil Winters' (Kristoff St. John) romance with Hilary Curtis (Mishael Morgan).

'General Hospital' Recap: May 14, 2014 (Wednesday) - Lucy vs. Bobbie, Julian & Alexis Make Love

Bobbie and Lucy had an epic showdown.
General Hospital recap for Wednesday, May 14, 2014:

It's still the night of the Nurses Ball and the residents of Port Charles are wide awake.

Shawn (Sean Blakemore) and Jordan (Vinessa Antoine) bonded as they talked about their past, and fun times with Tommy. Shawn decided to go to bed just as he seemed to be letting his guard down. The walls quickly came back up and Shawn reminded Jordan that their fun times were in the past.

Anna (Finola Hughes) and Duke (Ian Buchanan) ran into Scott (Kin Shriner) on their way home from the Ball. After a brief exchange in which Anna reminded Scott he had failed to get any convictions, he brought up the fact that she was sleeping with a "reputed mobster." Duke chuckled and agreed with Scott which led Anna to warn him, "You will never in my company say that Baldwin is right about anything or has a point about anything."
