'Señora Acero' Finale Hits Series Ratings High Averaging 2.8 Million Viewers

Telemundo novela Señora Acero ended on a ratings high.
Telemundo's highly rated super series Señora Acero ended on a season high, averaging 2,764,000 total viewers and 1,587,000 adults 18 to 49 during its finale night on Monday, according to Nielsen. Starring Blanca Soto in her Telemundo debut, the finale ranked as the #1 Spanish-language program, among total viewers and adults 18 to 49, in its time period; and was the #1 program, regardless of language, among males 18 to 49 and adults 18 to 34. The finale was also the #1 telecast in prime time, regardless of language, among males 18 to 34. The original series outperformed its closest competitor during 14 out of its 16 week run, among adults 18 to 49.

Señora Acero exemplifies Telemundo's super series concept – scripted drama series that are edgier, action packed and faster pace than traditional novelas.

'Señora Acero' Premieres Tuesday, September 23 on Telemundo

The highly anticipated new Telemundo series Señora Acero premieres next Tuesday, September 23rd at 10 p.m. ET.

Blanca Soto stars in Señora Acero, along with an excellent cast including Andrés Palacios, Rebecca Jones, Litzy and special guest, Damián Alcázar. Señora Acero was written by Roberto Stopello (La Reina del Sur) and is being directed by actor and director Miguel Varoni and Walter Doehner (La Reina del Sur).

Filmed in various locations around Mexico, Señora Acero tells the story of Sara Aguilar Bermúdez (Blanca Soto), a stunningly beautiful, charismatic and intelligent woman who goes from housewife to someone capable of shaking up the entire structure of a government. After the unexpected murder of her husband Vicente Acero, Sara learns that her late husband was not the man she thought. From that moment, her life and her son’s life become an endless battle to escape authorities and the enemies of her late husband.

Regional Mexican band Los Tucanes de Tijuana produced and performed "La Señora de Acero," the series' theme song, which tells the story of a woman with strong character, who knows how to overcome fear and adversity using two powerful weapons: her beauty and intelligence.

Señora Acero is produced by Argos Television under the executive supervision of Martha Godoy (La Reina del Sur, El Señor de los Cielos).

'Señora Acero' to Premiere September 23 on Telemundo

The highly anticipated new Telemundo series Señora Acero will premiere on Tuesday, September 23rd at 10 p.m. ET. In addition to the main cast, the series also features a stellar cast including Arap Bethke and Rossana San Juan along with Marco Pérez, Jorge Zárate, Carmen Madrid, Arturo Barba, Luciana Silveyra, Valentina Acosta, Pilar Ixquic Mata, Andrés Zuñiga, Viviana Serna, Juan Carlos Martín del Campo, Aurora Gil, Alejandro Caso, Hector Berzunza, Sergio Lozano, Iñaki Goci, Alex Perazza, Raúl Aranda Lee y Alan Castillo.

'Señora Acero' Begins Filming, New Novela Stars Blanca Soto

Filming is beginning today for the new Telemundo Studios original production, Señora Acero, starring Blanca Soto in her network debut. Written by Roberto Stopello (La Reina del Sur) and directed by actor and director Miguel Varoni and Walter Doehner (La Reina del Sur), the super series features a stellar cast, including Andrés Palacios, Rebecca Jones and Litzy, and the special participation of Damián Alcázar.

Filmed on location in different locations surrounding Mexico City, Señora Acero tells the story of Sara Aguilar Bermúdez (Blanca Soto), a beautiful, charismatic and intelligent woman who goes from being a housewife with an ordinary life to a person capable of shaking the very foundations of her country’s government.

After the shocking murder of her husband, Vicente Acero, Sara learns that he was not the man she thought he was. From that moment on, Sara and her son must run for their lives to evade the authorities and Victor’s enemies.
