'Stranger Things 2' To Debut on Netflix in 2017

Netflix has announced the breakout summer series, Stranger Things, is renewed for a second session.

Stranger Things 2 will debut in 2017, with writers/creators Matt and Ross Duffer returning. Nine (9) new episodes are confirmed for the second season.

Stranger Things 2 will be produced by 21 Laps for Netflix. Executive Producers Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen and the Duffer Brothers will all return for the second season.

'One Life to Live' Alum Florencia Lozano Joins the Cast of 'Narcos'

Deadline Hollywood  is reporting that One Life to Live favorite Florencia Lozano has been cast in the second season of Netflix's Narcos.

Lozano has been cast as DEA agent Claudia Messina.

Written by Chris Brancato and directed by Jose Padilha, Narcos is the true-life story of the growth and spread of cocaine drug cartels across the globe and attendant efforts of law enforcement to meet them head on in brutal, bloody conflict.

Guiding Light Alum Tom Pelphrey Joins Netflix Series.

Tom Pelphrey (ex-Jonathan, GL) has been cast in the new Marvel Netflix series Iron Fist, according to Variety.

Pelphrey will portray Ward Meachum, and Jessica Stroup (ex-Silver, 90210) will play his sister, Joy.

Stroup and Pelphrey are the final two series regulars to be cast in Marvel’s Iron Fist.

Pelphrey was last seen in Banshee, which ended its run after 4 seasons on Cinemax.

'Fuller House' To Premiere February 26 on Netflix

The Tanner family is back...but the house is a little Fuller this time around. On Friday, February 26 Netflix will debut the 13-episode spinoff, Fuller House, in all territories where Netflix is available.

In Fuller House, the adventures that began in 1987 on Full House continue, with veterinarian D.J. Tanner-Fuller (Candace Cameron Bure) recently widowed and living in San Francisco. D.J.'s younger sister/aspiring musician Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin) and D.J.'s lifelong best friend/fellow single mother Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber), along with Kimmy's feisty teenage daughter Ramona (Soni Nicole Bringas), all move in to help take care of D.J.'s three boys - the rebellious 12-year-old Jackson (Michael Champion), neurotic 7-year-old Max (Elias Harger) and her newborn baby, Tommy Jr (Messitt Twins).

Guest appearances by John Stamos (Jesse Katsopolis), Bob Saget (Danny Tanner), Dave Coulier (Joey Gladstone), Lori Loughlin (Becky Katsopolis) and Scott Weinger (Steve Hale).

The third and final season of the Netflix original series, Hemlock Grove will premiere October 23rd. All ten (10) episodes of the finale season will be available Friday, October 23 at 12:01am PT, exclusively on Netflix.

'Marvel's Daredevil' Season 2 Will Premiere in 2016 on Netflix

Netflix is confirming a second season of Marvel's Daredevil that will premiere in 2016.

Doug Petrie (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, American Horror Story) and Marco Ramirez (Sons Of Anarchy), who worked closely with Steven DeKnight and Drew Goddard, will serve as show runners for season two. Ramirez, Petrie, Drew Goddard (Cabin in the Woods) and Jeph Loeb (Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) are executive producers.

Blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) fights against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the Super Hero “Daredevil” in modern day Hell's Kitchen, New York Cit.

'Full House' Sequel 'Fuller House' Coming to Netflix in 2016

Netflix has order a sequel to Full House for a 2016 debut.

Netflix has ordered a 13-episode season of a new multi-camera comedy from Warner Horizon Television, Miller-Boyett Productions and Jeff Franklin Productions. Fuller House is the long-awaited sequel to the iconic hit series Full House. Created by original Full House creator Jeff Franklin, Fuller House will premiere exclusively across all Netflix territories in 2016.

Candace Cameron-Bure, Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber are set to star in Fuller House, with fellow Full House star John Stamos set to produce and reprise his original role of Uncle Jesse as a guest star in the new show. Discussions with Full House stars Bob Saget, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Dave Coulier and Lori Loughlin regarding guest appearances in Fuller House are ongoing.

First Four Actors Cast in Baz Luhrmann's 'The Get Down'

Baz Luhrmann's new Netflix Original Series, The Get Down, has cast its first four young male leads, a rag tag group of teenagers who are wild in the streets of the Bronx in the late 70's.

They are:

TJ BROWN as "Boo-Boo," a mechanically-minded kid who wants to get down, he is an irrepressible 40-year old in a 14-year old body. 14 years old, TJ lives in the Bronx, NY. An aspiring rapper and dancer, TJ hones his craft by performing in the NYC subway, where he was discovered by The Get Down's casting team.

JUSTICE SMITH as "Ezekiel," a smart, resourceful teen brimming with untapped talent and unrequited love who is determined to make his mark in this world. 19 years old, born & raised in Anaheim, CA, Justice is one of the stars of Paper Towns, which will be released by Fox 2000 this June.

SHAMEIK MOORE as "Shaolin Fantastic," a child of the streets, thrill-seeking, unpredictable, eccentric but above all, enigmatic. 19 years old, born & raised in Atlanta, GA, Shameik is the star of the 2015 Sundance hit Dope, and was named by Indiewire as one of the '12 Major Breakouts' of the festival.

SKYLAN BROOKS as "Ra-Ra," a loyal, respected, protective friend and brother with his head screwed on tight, he's the voice of reason beyond his years. 16 years old, born & raised in Los Angeles, CA, Skylan is the star of the film The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete, for which he was nominated for a Young Artist Award for Best Leading Young Actor in a Feature Film. He will next be seen opposite Jake Gyllenhaal and Rachel McAdams in Antoine Fuqua's Southpaw.

The Get Down will focus on 1970s New York City - broken down and beaten up, violent, cash strapped -- dying. Consigned to rubble, a rag-tag crew of South Bronx teenagers are nothings and nobodies with no one to shelter them - except each other, armed only with verbal games, improvised dance steps, some magic markers and spray cans. From Bronx tenements, to the SoHo art scene; from CBGBs to Studio 54 and even the glass towers of the just-built World Trade Center, The Get Down is a mythic saga of how New York at the brink of bankruptcy gave birth to hip-hop, punk and disco -- told through the lives and music of the South Bronx kids who changed the city, and the world...forever.

Luhrmann, will direct the first two episodes and the season finale and serve as executive producer. The series is also executive produced by Catherine Martin, Paul Watters, Thomas Kelly, Stephen Adly Guirgis, Shawn Ryan and Marney Hochman.

The 13-episode music-driven drama from Sony Pictures Television will debut in all Netflix territories in 2016.

Cheo Hodari Coker Will Serve as Executive Producer and Showrunner of 'Marvel's Luke Cage'

Cheo Hodari Coker will serve as executive producer and showrunner of the upcoming Netflix series, Marvel's Luke Cage. Coker is writing the first two episodes of the series that will premiere in 2016, everywhere that Netflix is available.

Most recently, Coker served as a co-executive producer on the second season of Ray Donovan, and prior to that was a supervising producer on the critically-acclaimed, fourth season of the drama SouthLAnd. Coker was a part of the SouthLAnd team that earned the show a 2012 Peabody Award. Coker also garnered a 2013 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Writing for a Dramatic Series for his work on that show. Coker's feature film credits include Fox Searchlight's rap biopic Notorious. He authored the book "Unbelievable: The Life, Death, and Afterlife of The Notorious B.I.G." as well. Coker started his writing career in journalism and was a staff writer at the Los Angeles Times and contributed to VIBE, Rolling Stone, Essence, among other publications. He is a graduate of Stanford University.

It was previously announced that Mike Colter (The Good Wife, American Horror Story: Coven) will play the charismatic lead character, Luke Cage, in the series.

Marvel's Luke Cage is produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios for Netflix.

Netflix Announces New Original Series 'Montauk' From The Duffer Brothers

Netflix has ordered Montauk, a new drama series written and directed by Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer (Wayward Pines, Hidden). Eight one-hour long episodes of the series will premiere exclusively across all Netflix territories in 2016.

In the series, set in 1980 Montauk, Long Island, a young boy vanishes into thin air. As friends, family, and local police search for answers, they are drawn into an extraordinary mystery involving top secret government experiments, terrifying supernatural forces, and one very strange little girl. Montauk is a love letter to the '80s classics that captivated a generation.

Netflix Orders Drama 'The OA' Starring Brit Marling

Netflix has ordered The OA, a new drama series starring Brit Marling. Zal Batmanglij (Sound of my Voice, The East) will direct, and Marling and Batmanglij will co-write The OA. Eight hour-long episodes of the series will premiere exclusively across all Netflix territories in 2016.

Netflix will premiere the new war thriller Jadotville, starring Jamie Dornan (Fifty Shades of Grey) and Guillaume Canet (Tell No One), across all its territories in 2016. Netflix acquired Jadotville at the 2015 Berlin Film Festival. The film will go into production in April.

A gripping true story of incredible bravery against impossible odds, the film thrillingly depicts the 1961 siege of a 150-strong Irish UN battalion under Commander Patrick Quinlan(Dornan) by 3,000 Congolese troops led by French and Belgian mercenaries working for mining companies. Canet plays a French commander who sought to defeat Quinlan and his men.

Netflix has ordered eight episodes of "limited series" Wet Hot American Summer based on the cult classic movie. According to Deadline, most of the original cast is returning including Elizabeth Banks, Bradley Cooper and Christopher Meloni.

Netflix has announced a new ten episode chapter in the adventures of Marco Polo and upcoming premiere dates for some of its highly anticipated new original series.

Marco Polo, the sweeping adventure that follows the famed explorer's exploits in Kublai Khan's court in 13th century China, will return to delight the global Netflix audience. Creator John Fusco's tale of Marco's journey will continue for 10 all-new episodes as Marco navigates Kublai Khan's world of greed, betrayal, sexual intrigue and rivalry. Fusco serves as executive producer along with Dan Minahan. Academy-Award nominated directors Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg also serve as executive producers. Season one was shot in Malaysia, Kazakhstan and Italy.
