'Marvel's Jessica Jones' Will Premiere on November 20

Marvel's Jessica Jones is set to premiere November 20.
Netflix's highly-anticipated original series Marvel's Jessica Jones will premiere on November 20 at 12:01 a.m. PT in all territories where Netflix is available.

Marvel’s Jessica Jones is the second of four epic live-action adventure series (Marvel’s Daredevil, which launched April 10th, Marvel’s Luke Cage and Marvel’s Iron Fist, all leading up to the teaming of the main characters in Marvel’s The Defenders) to premiere only on Netflix. It is a suspenseful, edgy look into the life of Jessica Jones, one of the most popular new Marvel characters of the last decade, as she faces demons from within and without. The drama will premiere with thirteen (13) one-hour episodes

After a tragic ending to her short-lived Super Hero stint, Jessica Jones is rebuilding her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases in New York City.

Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones) is joined by an amazing cast including David Tennant (Kilgrave), Mike Colter (Luke Cage), Rachael Taylor (Trish Walker), Carrie-Anne Moss, Eka Darville, Erin Moriarty, and Wil Traval, among others.

Marvel’s Jessica Jones on Netflix is Executive Produced by series Showrunner Melissa Rosenberg (Twilight, Dexter) and Liz Friedman (Elementary), along with Jeph Loeb (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Smallville, Heroes), who also serves as Marvel’s Head of Television.

Secret Warriors Are Coming to 'Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns for a powerful third season introducing new friends and foes inspired by the critically acclaimed "Secret Warriors" comic series. In the aftermath of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s battle with Jiaying and the Inhumans, Director Coulson will search the world for more powered people and assemble an extraordinary new team to deal with threats unlike the world has ever seen. However, the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will soon find out they're not the only ones tracking down these new Inhumans.

Coulson and S.H.I.E.L.D. are already searching for new recruits, and at San Diego Comic-Con, ABC and Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. are giving fans a chance to be part of the initiative. From Thursday, July 9 through Saturday, July 11, S.H.I.E.L.D. ambassadors will be searching the convention for the most dedicated fans and rewarding them with limited edition "Secret Warriors" pins.

Cheo Hodari Coker Will Serve as Executive Producer and Showrunner of 'Marvel's Luke Cage'

Cheo Hodari Coker will serve as executive producer and showrunner of the upcoming Netflix series, Marvel's Luke Cage. Coker is writing the first two episodes of the series that will premiere in 2016, everywhere that Netflix is available.

Most recently, Coker served as a co-executive producer on the second season of Ray Donovan, and prior to that was a supervising producer on the critically-acclaimed, fourth season of the drama SouthLAnd. Coker was a part of the SouthLAnd team that earned the show a 2012 Peabody Award. Coker also garnered a 2013 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Writing for a Dramatic Series for his work on that show. Coker's feature film credits include Fox Searchlight's rap biopic Notorious. He authored the book "Unbelievable: The Life, Death, and Afterlife of The Notorious B.I.G." as well. Coker started his writing career in journalism and was a staff writer at the Los Angeles Times and contributed to VIBE, Rolling Stone, Essence, among other publications. He is a graduate of Stanford University.

It was previously announced that Mike Colter (The Good Wife, American Horror Story: Coven) will play the charismatic lead character, Luke Cage, in the series.

Marvel's Luke Cage is produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios for Netflix.

'Revenge' Star Emily VanCamp to Host 'Marvel: 75 Years, From Pulp to Pop!' Special


Marvel: 75 Years, From Pulp to Pop!, an original special hosted by Revenge star Emily VanCamp, airs on Tuesday, November 4 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC. The special takes a look at the 75 year history of the Marvel Universe, from its humble beginnings as Timely Comics in 1939 to the birth of The Marvel Age in the 1960s, and finally the cinematic blockbusters of today.
