Elodie Yung Joins 'Marvel's Daredevil'

Elodie Yung ("G.I. Joe: Retaliation," "District 13: Ultimatum") joins the next season of "Marvel's Daredevil," streaming on Netflix in 2016.

Yung will play Elektra, a mysterious woman from Matt Murdock's past whose dangerous and exotic ways may be more than he can handle. The first season of "Marvel's Daredevil" made reference to Elektra, but now Yung will portray one of Daredevil's fan-favorite characters. Elektra marks the most recent major addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as she will join Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle in the upcoming season of the Netflix Original Series "Marvel's Daredevil."

'Marvel's Daredevil' Season 2 Will Premiere in 2016 on Netflix


Netflix is confirming a second season of Marvel's Daredevil that will premiere in 2016.

Doug Petrie (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, American Horror Story) and Marco Ramirez (Sons Of Anarchy), who worked closely with Steven DeKnight and Drew Goddard, will serve as show runners for season two. Ramirez, Petrie, Drew Goddard (Cabin in the Woods) and Jeph Loeb (Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) are executive producers.

Blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) fights against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the Super Hero “Daredevil” in modern day Hell's Kitchen, New York Cit.

Marvel's Daredevil stars Charlie Cox, Rosario Dawson, Vincent D'Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Scott Glenn, Bob Gunton, Toby Leonard Moore, Vondie Curtis Hall and Ayelet Zurer.

Netflix Announces Return of 'Marco Polo' and Premiere Dates for 'Bloodline,' 'Marvel's Daredevil' and 'Grace and Frankie'

Netflix has announced a new ten episode chapter in the adventures of Marco Polo and upcoming premiere dates for some of its highly anticipated new original series.

Marco Polo, the sweeping adventure that follows the famed explorer's exploits in Kublai Khan's court in 13th century China, will return to delight the global Netflix audience. Creator John Fusco's tale of Marco's journey will continue for 10 all-new episodes as Marco navigates Kublai Khan's world of greed, betrayal, sexual intrigue and rivalry. Fusco serves as executive producer along with Dan Minahan. Academy-Award nominated directors Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg also serve as executive producers. Season one was shot in Malaysia, Kazakhstan and Italy. Produced by The Weinstein Company, the series stars Lorenzo Richelmy as Marco and features Benedict Wong, Joan Chen, Zhu Zhu, Chin Han, Olivia Cheng, Tom Wu, Remy Hii, Uli Latukefu, Mahesh Jadu, Claudia Kim and Rick Yune.

Netflix also announced upcoming premiere dates for the following new original series, all of which will be available globally upon release in all territories where Netflix is available:

From creators Tina Fey and Robert Carlock, this half-hour single-camera comedy series stars Ellie Kemper as Kimmy, who escapes a doomsday cult and decides to reclaim her life and start over in New York City. Armed with just a backpack, light-up sneakers, and a couple of way-past-due library books, Kimmy's ready to take on a world she didn't even think existed anymore. Wide-eyed but resilient, nothing is going to stand in her way. The 13-episode series, produced by Universal Television, also stars Jane Krakowski, Tituss Burgess, Carol Kane and more. Fey and Carlock serve as executive producers, along with David Miner and Jeff Richmond.

Netflix Releases First Images from 'Marvel's Daredevil'


Netflix has released the first images from Marvel's Daredevil. The highly-anticipated live action 13-episode show will premiere in 2015 in all territories where Netflix is available.

Marvel's Daredevil follows the journey of Matt Murdock, who was blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, now fighting against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the super hero Daredevil in modern day Hell's Kitchen, New York City.

New confirmed casting out of New York Comic-Con: Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Marianna, Vondie Curtis Hall as Ben Urich, Bob Gunton as Leland Owlsley and Toby Leonard Moore as Wesley. These four stars join Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), with Rosario Dawson (who role was revealed as Claire Temple) and Vincent D'Onofrio (Wilson Fisk) in the critically-lauded cast of Marvel's Daredevil.
