The GLAAD Media Awards announced After Forever is one of eight recipients of their Special Recognition Awards. Co-Creator Kevin Spirtas shares, “After Forever is honored to receive this special recognition from GLAAD. As an independently produced series featuring a story about love and loss for gay men over 50, we enthusiastically share the mission of honest LGBTQ portrayals in the media. This award could not have come at a more sensitive time for us, after losing my co-creator/writing partner, Michael Slade, to cancer just prior to the New Year. Our desire to continue telling these stories is now stronger than ever.”

'Days of our Lives' Alum Kevin Spirtas Joins 'Winterthorne' as Dominic Delacort
Kevin Spirtas |
"Kevin is a wonderful actor,” says series creator and Emmy nominee Michael Caruso, “And I think what struck me about him as perfect for the part of Dominic is the sense of mischievousness he possesses. Dominic is a character that has been put in a very specific position of power by the Winterthorne women, and yet he's powerless at the same time and we really see him struggle with that."
"Kevin is not only a delightful person, but an incredibly talented actor,” adds series star Martha Madison, “I loved watching him play the devious character of Craig Wesley on Days! He made it fun to root for the bad guy!"

Kevin Spirtas Joins 'Cabaret on the Hudson' at Irvington Town Hall Theater on October 27
A new musical series, "Cabaret on the Hudson," kicks off Monday, October 27 at the Irvington Town Hall Theater. The shows will feature three outstanding cabaret performers or small groups, each bringing a 25 minute sampling of their New York City cabaret shows to Westchester, NY. The featured performers for the first of four upcoming "Cabaret on the Hudson" shows during the 2014-2015 season will be Kevin Spirtas, Adam B. Shapiro and Karen Oberlin/Sean Harkness.
Spirtas is best known for his portrayal of Dr. Craig Wesley, a character he played for over seven years on NBC's Days of our Lives. Spirtas' career began, at 18, when he landed his first professional job as Mike ("I Can Do That") Costa, in Michael Bennett's Broadway seminal musical "A Chorus Line." Spirtas has also starred on Broadway and Regional tours including "Hairspray," "Meet Me In St. Louis," "Company," "Damn Yankees" and "Into The Woods." For the past two years he has starred in the Indie Series Award-winning web series, Hustling. A tribute to Spirtas' high-octane talent came in 2003 when he was cast as the stand-by for Hugh Jackman in Broadway's smash hit musical "The Boy From Oz."
"Cabaret on the Hudson" will be hosted by Corinna Sowers Adler and will feature Benet Braun on piano.
Tickets are $20 each in advance or $23 at the door and are available by calling 914-591-6602 or by visiting www.irvingtontheater.com.
The remaining "Cabaret on the Hudson" shows will run on December 8, February 16 and April 13.
