Lindsay Kay Hayward to Guest Star in 'Grey's Anatomy'

Lindsay Kay Hayward at the 5th Annual Indie Series Awards.
The world's tallest actress, Lindsay Kay Hayward, will be guest-starring in an upcoming episode of Grey's Anatomy.

At six feet nine inches tall, Hayward was one of the four stars of TLC's fascinating My Giant Life this summer. On Tuesday night, the women all got together for a "Big Updates" special and Hayward revealed she had been cast for a role on Grey's.

"I have Marfan disease, the role that I play," Hayward revealed. "She's a seven feet two [inch] woman but she thinks she's six [feet] six [inches]. Usually I play an overly aggressive fighter type, but it gets to the insight of who actually are as uniquely tall women."

The actress and former wrestler is the Guinness World Record holder for the Tallest Actress in a Leading Role. She gets her height from her father, who she recently reunited with for the first time since she was 11-years-old during an episode of My Giant Life.

Hayward appears on the October 1 episode of Grey's Anatomy.

Shonda Rhimes Responds to Complaint About 'Gay Scenes' In Her Shows

Scandal and Grey's Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes took a fan to task on Twitter Sunday afternoon (October 19), after they pointed out that they didn't appreciate certain parts of her shows.

"The gay scenes in "Scandal' and 'How to Get Away with Murder' are too much," the user writes. "There is no point and they add nothing to the plot."

Like only Shonda can, she fired back a trio of tweets. "There are no GAY scenes. There are scenes with people in them," she replies. "If you are suddenly discovering that Shondaland shows have scenes involving people who are gay, you are LATE TO THE PARTY. If u use the phrase 'gay scenes,' u are not only LATE to the party but also NOT INVITED to the party. Bye Felicia. #oneLOVE"

Shortly after setting the matter straight, Rhimes took her leave from Twitter to go back to the "Grey's Anatomy" script notes she was working on and all was calm once again in Shondaland.
