Starz Drama 'Power' Adds David Fumero as Series Regular

One Life to Live alum David Fumero has landed a series regular role on season two of the Starz drama Power.

According to Deadline.com, Fumero will play Mike Sandoval, the handsome new Chief of the Crime Division, who has moved from Southern California to NY to make sure this prominent investigation is run correctly.

Fumero played Christian Vega in One Life to Live from 1998-2011. His other credits include CSI: New York, Manhattanites and Law & Order: Criminal Intent.

JR Ramirez Promoted to 'Power' Series Regular

JR Ramirez, who recurred on the first season of the Starz drama series Power, has been promoted to regular for Season Two. The show centers on wealthy New York City nightclub owner James "Ghost" St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick), who is living a double life as a kingpin. Ramirez plays Julio, second in command to Tommy (Joseph Sikora).

Ramirez was also recently cast as Ted "Wildcat" Grant on the upcoming third season of the CW's Arrow.

Starz Original Series 'Power' Rises in Finale

Starz Original Series and summer breakout hit Power, finished strong in its season finale and has averaged about 4 million viewers per week to-date, with strong viewership among White and African-American viewers - both male and female audiences (18-49).* The New York-based drama, which has resonated strongly with African-American viewers throughout its eight-episode first season and stars Omari Hardwick, will premiere to more than 10 million new households on Encore Black beginning Tuesday, August 12 at 10 p.m. ET/PT with a replay immediately following at 11 p.m. ET/PT.** Power will premiere one episode per week on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT for eight weeks on Encore Black through September 30. Additional replays will air on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Power episodes will also be made available weekly on ENCORE PLAY.

Viewership for Power grew throughout the strong first season. The finale's 9 p.m. results (2.9 HH rating and nearly 1.1 million viewers Live+SD) more than doubled the series premiere results (1.3 HH, 462K Live+SD), as the series became "appointment viewing" for its ever-increasing core audience.***

'Power' Renewed For Second Season by Starz

Starz announced today a season two pick up of Power, the New York-based drama starring Omari Hardwick. Creator, showrunner and executive producer Courtney Kemp Agboh and fellow executive producers Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, Mark Canton, David Knoller and Randall Emmett will return for the sophomore season. Production is set to begin on the 10-episode second season in and around New York, as well as at its home base at Steiner Studios in Brooklyn this September.

The eight-episode first season of this visionary crime drama is set in two different worlds, the glamorous New York club scene and the brutal drug trade, and follows James "Ghost" St. Patrick as he attempts to leave his illegitimate lifestyle behind.

"I am so grateful to Chris Albrecht, Carmi Zlotnik, and everyone at Starz for their support of Power. I am thrilled and excited to have the opportunity to create a season two that we plan to be bigger and better than the first," shared series creator Courtney Kemp Agboh.

New Starz Original Series 'Power' Premiered with Solid Opening: Multiplatform Performance of More Than 2.6 Million Viewers

Power had a solid ratings start.
Power, the new Starz Original series drama from Executive Producer Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, debuted this past weekend, yielding more than 2 million Live+SD viewers for Saturday and Sunday airings, with the youngest Starz demos since “Spartacus: War of the Damned” and an evenly balanced gender split.

The Power Saturday night 9 p.m. ET/PT premiere yielded 462K Live+SD viewers. Saturday night performance total with re-airings delivered 1.27 million viewers.

From Executive Producer Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson comes the crime drama Power. James "Ghost" St. Patrick has it all: a beautiful wife, a gorgeous Manhattan penthouse, and the hottest, up-and-coming new nightclub in New York. His club, Truth, caters to the elite: the famous and infamous boldface names that run the city that never sleeps. As its success grows, so do Ghost's plans to build an empire. However, Truth hides an ugly reality. It's a front for Ghost's criminal underworld; a lucrative drug network, serving only the wealthy and powerful.

As Ghost is seduced by the prospect of a legitimate life, everything precious to him becomes unknowingly threatened. Once you're in, can you ever get out?

The cast is led by Omari Hardwick, who is joined by Lela Loren, Naturi Naughton and Joseph Sikora. Hardwick stars as main character 'James "Ghost" St. Patrick'; Loren plays 'Angela Valdes', an old flame of James's who unexpectedly reenters his life; Naughton will play 'Tasha St. Patrick', wife, confidant and willing accomplice to James and Sikora plays 'Tommy Egan', childhood best friend and business partner to "Ghost."

Former All My Children star Debbi Morgan plays Estelle.
