TV Land Awards To Honor Betty White, 'Parenthood,' 'The Wonder Years,' 'Ally McBeal,' and Donny and Marie Osmond


This year's TV Land Awards will be hosted by Terry Crews (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, World's Funniest Fails), one of the most versatile performers of TV and film. This year's awards will honor the most creative, popular and loved stars and series, including Parenthood, The Wonder Years, Ally McBeal, Betty White, who will receive The Legend Award, and Donny and Marie Osmond, who will be accepting the Pop Culture Award. The late groundbreaking comedian Joan Rivers will also be honored with a special tribute. Presenters and more honorees will be announced in the coming week. The ceremony will tape on Saturday, April 11th at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills and air Saturday, April 18th at 9 p.m. ET/PT on TV Land with simulcasts on Nickelodeon and NickMom.

Parenthood is receiving the Fan Favorite Award, a salute to a series that is considered an All-American classic and much-loved by its fans. The drama series - based on the movie of the same name - just wrapped its sixth and final season on NBC, and tells the story of the Braverman family as they face life's triumphs and struggles. Confirmed to be at the TV Land Awards include series stars Lauren Graham, Craig T. Nelson, Peter Krause, Bonnie Bedelia, Erika Christensen, Miles Heizer, Sam Jaeger, Savannah Paige Rae, Max Burkholder, Tyree Brown, Sarah Ramos, Xolo MaridueƱa and executive producer Jason Katims.

'Parenthood' Series Finale Sneak Peek

The series finale episode of Parenthood ("May God Bless and Keep You Always") airs on Thursday at 10 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.

In the excitement of her big day, Sarah (Lauren Graham) surrounds herself with the original Braverman clan. Meanwhile, Hank (Ray Romano) approaches Zeek (Craig T. Nelson) for his blessing and asks Drew (Miles Heizer) for a special favor. Amber (Mae Whitman) adjusts to life as a new mom with a little help from her grandparents. Julia (Erika Christensen) and Joel (Sam Jaeger) get a phone call that forces a life-changing decision. Max (Max Burkholder) gets his first job, while Crosby (Dax Shepard) and Adam (Peter Krause) reach an understanding about the Luncheonette. Kristina (Monica Potter) presents Adam with a new plan for the future of Chambers Academy, and for their family.

The Bravermans Face an Uncertain Road on 'Parenthood' Tonight

The final season of Parenthood continues tonight.
The sixth and final season of NBC primetime serial Parenthood continues on Thursday, October 9 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

In the episode, titled "The Waiting Room," Camille (Bonnie Bedelia) and the kids anxiously await news about Zeek (Craig T. Nelson). Julia (Erika Christensen) confronts Joel (Sam Jaeger) about their relationship status. Amber (Mae Whitman) decides to face her future and Drew (Miles Heizer) supports her. Sarah (Lauren Graham) tries to bond with Ruby (Courtney Grosbeck) and finds herself in a sticky blended family situation. When the Luncheonette gets some unfortunate news, work pressures mount atop all the family stress, and Adam (Peter Krause) is in worst-case-scenario mode. Emotionally wracked Crosby (Dax Shepard) seeks an escape.

Big Changes Are Shaking the Braverman Clan on 'Parenthood' Tonight

The final season of Parenthood continues tonight.
The sixth and final season of NBC primetime serial Parenthood continues on Thursday, October 2 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

In the episode, titled "Happy Birthday, Zeek," Kristina (Monica Potter) struggles to accommodate the individual needs of her Chambers Academy students, and Adam (Peter Krause) gets roped into the chaos when the school's lunch vendor quits on the spot. Zeek (Craig T. Nelson) faces a tough decision about his health, and amidst strong opinions from the other siblings, Crosby (Dax Shepard) supports his dad. Joel (Sam Jaeger) and Julia (Erika Christensen) meet with Sydney's (Savannah Paige Rae) teacher when girl drama erupts at school. Sarah (Lauren Graham) wrestles with her ambivalence about Amber's (Mae Whitman) big news.

'Parenthood' Season 6 Premieres Tonight with Last Minute Construction and a Trip to Vegas

Parenthood returns tonight as Sarah (Lauren Graham) steals Zeek (Craig T. Nelson) away to Vegas.
The sixth and final season of NBC primetime serial Parenthood premieres on Thursday, September 25 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

In the episode, titled "Vegas," Sarah (Lauren Graham) steals Zeek (Craig T. Nelson) away on a birthday trip to Las Vegas, and what unfolds will set the Bravermans on a dramatic season-long course. Amber (Mae Whitman) faces a life change and grapples with how to navigate the new landscape of adulthood. Two days before opening, Adam (Peter Krause) and Kristina’s (Monica Potter) charter school is far from ready, and the whole family springs into action to help complete the construction.

'Parenthood' Season 6 Promo: If You've Ever Watched, It's Time To Come Home


"If you've ever watched Parenthood, it's time to come home."

NBC aired the first promo for the sixth and final season of Parenthood during the Primetime Emmy Awards on Monday, revealing the answer to everyone's question at the end of Season 5: "Is Amber pregnant?"

Warning: Spoiler ahead...

The answer, apparently, is "yes," as Mae Whitman's character is seen gazing upon a sonogram of her child.

Sonya Walger to Recur on 'Scandal' and 'Parenthood'

Sonya Walger will recur on two Thursday night serials this fall: Scandal and Parenthood.
Sonya Walger, who played Penny on Lost, is joining ABC's Scandal in a potentially recurring role.

Details about Walger's character are being kept under wraps, but the "potentially recurring" part suggests she could have a tie to one of the regulars.

Walger, who is also set to recur this fall on NBC's Parenthood, joins a Season 4 guest cast that also includes Portia de Rossi, Mary McCormack and Josh Randall.

Scandal returns on Thursday, September 25 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

NBC Sets Fall Premiere Dates for 'The Blacklist', 'The Mysteries of Laura', 'Parenthood' and More

NBC has announced premiere dates for its fall schedule, which include No. 1 broadcast program “Sunday Night Football,” the return of No. 1 reality series “The Voice,” No. 1 new series “The Blacklist,” and the debuts of highly anticipated comedy “Marry Me” and drama “The Mysteries of Laura.”

“Sunday Night Football” launches its campaign on Thursday, Sept. 4 when the Green Bay Packers travel to the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks (8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT). Three days later on Sunday, Sept. 7, the Indianapolis Colts will play at the AFC champion Denver Broncos (8:20 p.m. ET/5:20 p.m. PT). The game will be preceded by the season premiere of “Football Night in America” (7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT).

“The Biggest Loser,” in which contestants lose weight in the hope of restarting their lives, returns for its 16th season Thursday, Sept. 11 (8-10 p.m. ET/PT).
