Yvonne Zima Still Remembers Being Fired From 'The Young and the Restless'

Zima as Daisy on The Young and the Restless
Yvonne Zima will star in the Lifetime movie Killing Mommy on June 11, but the actress still remembers being fired twice as Daisy Carter on The Young and the Restless.

Zima tells Soap Opera Digest in their June 13, 2016 issue, "You don't find out you're written out until you get the pages and you're like, 'Oh, I'm driving out of town, looking in the rearview mirror and talking to myself saying, "I'll be back."

"That was the first time it happened and I was pretty upset, but then I came back. The second time [being written out] happened, I was like, 'Whatever,' but they should do a better job of informing people, other than, 'Here's your script. Look, you jump off a building.' That is really crass."

However, she would still be open to a return to the soap. "It'd be so cool to come back, so I'm putting that out there..."

Daisy Carter was one of the most hated characters in the last 10 years of YR, so let us hope this doesn't happen.
