Kelly Thiebaud Leaves 'General Hospital': Watch Britt's Goodbye (Video)

Britt said goodbye to her mother before leaving Port Charles with Faison.

Kelly Thiebaud has left General Hospital and the role of Britt Westbourne. The actress posted the following farewell message to fans on her Instagram account:

"It's been so hard reading all of your tweets about me leaving the show and not being able to respond! I wanted to wait till my last episode aired to say my goodbyes. And here we are... What a fun and challenging adventure this has been! It went by too fast. I decided not to resign my contract because I would like to book other roles on prime time shows and film. You have to follow your dreams right! Thank you for all the love and support. I hope you will continue to follow me onto the next adventure! I love you all

Kelly Thiebaud Off-Contract at 'General Hospital', Marc Anthony Samuel Recurring Too

Kelly Thiebaud is now recurring on General Hospital.

Kelly Thiebaud is now off-contract at ABC soap opera General Hospital, electing to not renew her deal with the show, where she plays Dr. Britt Westbourne.

Thiebaud, who joined the cast in 2012, will remain with the show (for now) on a recurring basis, but that arrangement is likely short-term, as the actress is reportedly eager to pursue work in primetime TV and film.

Marc Anthony Samuel (Felix) and John J. York (Mac) are also now recurring with the show.

"Hey fans, thanks for the support. GH is just a small part of a great and ongoing journey. Onward and upward!" Samuel tweeted. "To be clear guys, I'm recurring. Not on contract though."

Nina Clay on 'General Hospital' Enters Early-Onset Menopause, Can't Conceive a Child

Nina was shocked to hear she had entered Early-Onset Menopause.

Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) broke the news to her cousin, Nina Clay (Michelle Stafford), on Friday's episode of General Hospital that she could not possibly be pregnant and she was actually experiencing Early-Onset Menopause (EOM).

Nina has been determined to have a baby with husband Silas (Michael Easton) to make up for the baby she lost 20 years ago when her mother, Madeline Reeves (Donna Mills), caused her to miscarry and fall into a two-decade coma.

So what will Nina do now? Will she fake a pregnancy? Will she eventually steal Ava Jerome's (Maura West) baby? We know Nina will not give up.
