Serial Scoop Now Hosting Indie Series Awards Nomination Special on February 2 at 3:00 PM ET

The nominees for the 12th Annual Indie Series Awards will be revealed on Serial Scoop Now on Wednesday, February 2 at 12:00 PM PT. The "Nomination Special" will be hosted by German actor and entertainer Jo Weil, who will also announce the winner of the ISA12 Spotlight Award.



The 12th Annual Indie Series Awards will celebrate the best in independently produced series for both 2020 and 2021 on April 7, 2022, at The Colony Theatre in Burbank, CA.

11th Annual Indie Series Awards Nominees Revealed


The 11th Annual Indie Series Awards nominations in 28 categories were revealed on Wednesday via Twitter. The ISAs celebrate the best in independently produced entertainment created for the Web.

Indoor Boys led all series with 15 total nominations. The show is joined in the Best Comedy Series category by Before We Go, FabUless, F#CKING 40, La règle de (3), The Ninth, Poor Us and Three Year Letterman.

Poz Roz and Studio City earned 12 nominations apiece to lead the dramas. They are joined in the Best Drama Series field by After Forever, The Bay, Bronx SIU, People Like Us, A Place Called Hollywood and Save Me.

In all, there are 33 nominated series from around the globe. Crystal trophies will be presented to the winners during a gala ceremony on April 1 at The Colony Theatre in Burbank, California. The two-day celebration includes a launch party, red carpet reception, press walk, presentation ceremony and official after party.

Since 2009, the Indie Series Award has honored the most creative and progressive talent in independent web series.

Indie Series Awards Winners: 'Giants' Best Drama, 'Indoor Boys' Best Comedy


The winners of the 10th Annual Indie Series Awards were announced in a ceremony on Wednesday, April 3, hosted by Eric Martsolf, Kevin Spirtas and Patrika Darbo, all former hosts who returned. Not announced prior to the ceremony, one by one they took the stage declaring they were the best former host and should, obviously, host the milestone 10th anniversary celebration.

Top honors went to Giants and Indoor Boys, named best drama and best comedy series of the year. Giants won awards in a record-breaking seven categories, including best writing (J. August Richards, lead actor (James Bland), lead actress (Vanessa Baden Kelly), supporting actress (Tanee McCall), score (Austin Wintory) and original song ("More Love" by Kareem James and Ashly Williams). Indoor Boys took home four ISAs, including best writing (Wesley Taylor and Alex Wyse), guest actress in a comedy (Krysta Rodriguez) and guest actor in a comedy (Michael Kostroff).

Other acting winners included Alex Wyse (Only Children), Lou Diamond Phillips (Conversations in L.A.), Lauren B. Martin (Anacostia), Paul Soles (My 90-Year-Old Roommate), Alesha Renee (The Rich and the Ruthless), Ryan Wesen (190 Lorimer) and Inessa Frantowski (The Amazing Gayl Pile: Apocolypse Soonish).

The Witching Hour took home the prize for best non-fiction series.

Since 2009, the Indie Series Award has honored the most creative and progressive talent in independent web series. The ceremony was hosted by Emmy winners Patrika Darbo and Emmy Martsolf, and Emmy nominee Kevin Spirtas, a previous ISA winner who leads the all-star cast of best drama ensemble winner After Forever. All three previously hosted and returned as part of the 10th annual celebration, "A Decade of Indie Excellence."

In all, 45 series were nominated from around the globe, including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and India.

10th Annual Indie Series Awards Nominees Announced

The 10th Annual Indie Series Awards nominations were revealed on Wednesday in a Facebook Live broadcast hosted by former winners Dee Freeman and Michael Taylor Gray. The ISAs celebrate the best in independently produced entertainment created for the Web. Nominees were announced in 30 categories.

Giants led all series with 19 total nominations, followed by After Forever with 14. Those shows will compete in the Best Drama Series category with Conversations in L.A., In Absentia, The New 30, Only Children, Riley Parra and What's Your Status.

Indoor Boys led all comedies with 13 nominations. The series is joined in the Best Comedy Series field by 190 Lorimer, #Adulting, The Amazing Gayl Pile: Apocalypse Soonish, Does It Fart, My 90-Year-Old Roommate, The Rich and the Ruthless and #Washed.

Competing for Best Non-Fiction Series are Girl Mess, The No-Name Cinema Society, The Vivid Project, What The IVF and The Witching Hour.

In all, there are 45 nominated series from around the globe: United States, Canada, Australia, Indie and the United Kingdom. Crystal trophies will be presented to the winners during a gala ceremony on April 3 at The Colony Theatre in Los Angeles. The two-day celebration includes a launch party, red carpet reception, press walk, presentation ceremony and official after party.

Since 2009, the Indie Series Award has honored the most creative and progressive talent in independent web series.

9th Annual Indie Series Awards Nominees Revealed!


The nominations for the 9th Annual Indie Series Awards were revealed on Wednesday, January 31. Celebrating the best in independently produced  entertainment created for the Web, ISAs nominees were announced in 30 categories.

Ladies of the Lake led all series with 18 total nominations, followed by The Bay with 16. Those shows will compete in the Best Drama Series category with AnacostiaGiantsL.A. MacabreRiley ParraRunning With Violet and Teenagers.

Filth City led all comedies with 12 nominations. The series is joined in the Best Comedy Series field by 190 LorimerThe Amazing Hoolister ParkBad TimingDear MankindHow to Buy a BabyIndoor Boys and ThreadBare.

The Bold and the Beautiful actress Patrika Darbo was nominated for her work in three separate web series: Indoor BoysThe Bay and Ladies of the Lake.  In an ISAs first, she will compete against herself in the Best Guest Actress - Drama category.

In all, there are 44 nominated series from around the globe: United States, Canada, Germany, Singapore and Uruguay. Crystal trophies will be presented to the winners during a gala ceremony on April 4 at The Colony Theatre in Los Angeles. The two-day celebration includes a launch party, red carpet reception, press walk, presentation ceremony and official after party.

The Annual Indie Series Awards is an initiative to elevate the entire indie series genre, organized by the nonprofit Indie Series Network. All proceeds from entry fees, ticket sales, program ads, etc. are reinvested in the production of the event. Indie Series Awards Moving to The Colony Theatre


The Indie Series Awards ceremony has a new home! The 8th Annual ISAs will be held on April 5 in Burbank at The Colony Theatre, which has long been a vibrant center of Los Angeles theatre life.

The Indie Series Awards, honoring the best in independently produced, scripted entertainment created for the Web, first began in 2009.

“We are so excited to bring the Indie Series Awards to this extraordinary venue,” said Roger Newcomb, founder of the Indie Series Awards. “There's not a bad seat in the house, and the space offers us several new and fun possibilities for the ceremony, including the performances of the six Best Original Song nominees."

On February 1, a total of 48 series from around the world were nominated for Indie Series Awards in 29 categories.

Indie Series Awards Expanding Best Comedy & Drama Categories to 8

Indie Series Awards nominees will be announced on Wednesday, February 1.
Big changes are coming to the Indie Series Awards, and one was announced today. The ISAs are expanding the number of nominees in the Best Web Series — Comedy and Best Web Series — Drama categories from six to eight.

The expansion will allow four additional series to be introduced to the audience during the ceremony, a special honor given to the nominees of the evening's final two awards.

More big changes for this year's ISAs are in the works, and will be announced in the coming days.

The nominations will be revealed Wednesday, February 1st, and several daytime favorites are expected to be recognized. The exact time of the announcement will be posted at IndieSeriesAwards.com on Monday.
