'Falling Skies' Two-Hour Season Finale Tonight: Space Oddity and Shoot The Moon

TNT airs back-to-back episodes of Falling Skies on Sunday, August 31 starting at 9 p.m. ET/PT to wrap up the show's fourth season.

In Part 1 of the season finale at 9 p.m. ET/PT, "Space Oddity" Tom's mission to destroy the Espheni Power Core is complicated by Lexi's return. Lexi is forced to take extreme measures to save her father's life – and her own – after a Beamer malfunction. Meanwhile, the 2nd Mass fears an impending Espheni strike by the scorched Overlord. Treva Etienne guest stars.

In Part 2 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, "Shoot The Moon," with the weight of humanity's survival on Tom and Lexi's shoulders, they must defeat Tom's mortal enemy and find a way to destroy the omnipotent Espheni Power Core. Meanwhile, a new, terrifying Espheni Bomb is dropped onto Chinatown, immobilizing the 2nd Mass and preparing them for Human Skitterizaton. Mira Sorvino and Treva Etienne guest star.

'TNT' Wins Fourth Consecutive Week In a Row, 'Major Crimes', 'Rizzoli & Isles' and 'The Last Ship' Leading the Pack.

TNT's summer ratings dominance continued last week with its fourth consecutive win as basic cable's most-watched network in primetime. TNT's ongoing success has been fueled by its slate of hit summer dramas, including Major Crimes, Rizzoli & Isles and The Last Ship, which ranked as basic cable's Top 3 scripted programs for the week among total viewers and which continue to hold position as basic cable's Top 3 scripted series for the summer-to-date.

Sunday night's episode of The Last Ship ranked as basic cable's #1 scripted original for the week among adults 18-49 and adults 25-54, solidifying its position as the summer's #1 scripted original on basic cable with key demos. The Last Ship, Major Crimes and Rizzoli & Isles also ranked basic cable's Top 3 scripted programs for the week among adults 25-54.

TNT has renewed three of its chart-topping summer hits: The Last Ship, Major Crimes and Falling Skies. All three dramas rank among basic cable's Top 5 scripted series this summer with total viewers and adults 25-54. They have also helped TNT score a significant lead as basic cable's #1 network in primetime for the summer-to-date.

TNT Invades Comic-Con with 'Legends,' 'The Last Ship' and 'Falling Skies'

TNT is bringing its eagerly anticipated drama Legends to Comic-Con International: San Diego 2014 with multiple events and initiatives, including the first-ever branded takeover of San Diego International Airport. The gripping undercover drama starring Sean Bean (Game of Thrones, The Lord of the Rings) is the centerpiece of TNT's extensive presence at this year's Comic-Con, which takes place July 24-27 at the San Diego Convention Center.

This year's Comic-Con will also feature events spotlighting TNT's top-rated new series The Last Ship, including a party with CraveOnline aboard the USS Midway, and Falling Skies, with a special alien cocoon experience highlighting a key element in the show's fourth season. In addition, stars and producers from all three shows are set to participate in discussion panels and Q&A sessions.

'Falling Skies' Season 3 Marathon to Air May 26 on TNT

As excitement builds for the fourth season of TNT's hit drama Falling Skies, the network is giving viewers the chance to binge-watch the entire third season on Memorial Day. TNT will present all ten episodes of season three in a 10-hour marathon slated to begin Monday, May 26, at 10 a.m. ET/PT. Falling Skies, which stars Noah Wyle, is produced by Amblin Television and executive producer Steven Spielberg. Also starring are Moon Bloodgood, Will Patton, Colin Cunningham, Drew Roy, Connor Jessup, Maxim Knight, Sarah Carter, Seychelle Gabriel, Mpho Koaho and Doug Jones. Scarlett Byrne (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) is set to join the cast as a regular this season, while Oscar winner Mira Sorvino (Mighty Aphrodite, Mimic) and Treva Etienne (Terminator Salvation, Pirates of the Caribbean) are slated to guest-star, along with returning guest-star Robert Sean Leonard (House, Dead Poets Society).

Since premiering as the #1 new series of 2011, Falling Skies has ranked as one of basic cable's Top 10 original dramas among key adult demos for each of the past three years. Executive-produced by Spielberg and Amblin Television heads Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank, along with David Eick and Greg Beeman, season four of Falling Skies is set to premiere Sunday, June 22, at 10 p.m. ET/PT, following the launch of TNT's all-new drama The Last Ship.

In Falling Skies, Wyle stars as Tom Mason, a college professor who became an unlikely resistance leader following a massive invasion by an alien race known as the Espheni. Bloodgood is Dr. Ann Glass, a pediatrician who became the survivors’ primary physician and recently gave birth to a daughter who, it turns out, is not entirely human. Patton is Colonel Weaver, the gruff and emotionally scarred commander of the 2nd Mass who has been leading the battle against the invaders.
