'Days of our Lives' Star Freddie Smith Sentenced to Two Years of Community Control, Loses License, Avoids Jail Time

Days of our Lives star Freddie Smith (Sonny Kiriakis) was sentenced Wednesday to two years of community control in Ashtabula County Common Pleas court. He also had his driver's license suspended for one year.

Smith was leaving a wedding reception in October 2014 when he and his girlfriend Alyssa Tabit crashed on State Route 84. Police say Smith's blood alcohol level was .093. Tabit was seriously injured and continues to recover.

"She is doing absolutely fantastic. She has a couple more weeks of physical therapy and she will be back good as new," Smith told Action News reporter Scott Taylor outside the courtroom (see video below). "It was very selfish and I am very sorry for doing it."

'One Life To Live' Actor Brandon Buddy Arrested For DWI


Former One Life To Live star Brandon Buddy got busted for DWI in Texas, TMZ reports.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ cops were alerted on Sunday when a seemingly intoxicated Buddy -- covered in scratches -- was seen taking off in his car after grabbing beer at an Austin gas station.

After being stopped, an allegedly semi-conscious Buddy was evaluated at a nearby hospital and arrested for DWI.

Buddy's also being investigated for possessing dangerous drugs. Cops say they found prescription medications in his car on January 4th.

He's still in jail for the DWI.

Buddy played Cole Thornhart on OLTL from 2006-2010.

'Days of our Lives' Star Freddie Smith Pleads Guilty To Vehicular Assault in Ohio Crash

Days of our Lives star Freddie Smith (Sonny Kiriakis) has pleaded guilty to charges stemming from the crash that seriously injured his girlfriend in far northeast Ohio.

The 26-year-old actor from Los Angeles lost control of a vehicle October 7 in Ashtabula County. He pleaded guilty Tuesday to felony vehicular assault and misdemeanor driving under the influence.

Stephanie Moseley Dead at 30 In Murder-Suicide

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed in a statement late Monday, December 8, that rapper Earl Hayes and his wife Stephanie Moseley were found dead that morning inside the Park La Brea luxury residences in L.A.

"When officers arrived at the apartment complex they heard additional shots being fired," the statement read. "LAPD’s SWAT officers responded to the location and discovered two victims inside the apartment suffering from gunshot wounds. The initial investigation revealed that 34-year-old Earl Warren Hayes shot his wife, 30-year-old Stephanie Elyse Moseley to death and then took his own life. The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced both Mr. Hayes and Ms. Moseley dead at the scene."

Moseley, a dancer and actress featured on VH1's drama series Hit the Floor, was reported dead Monday after a suspected murder-suicide involving Hayes.

'Days of our Lives' Actor Freddie Smith Charged in Ohio with Vehicular Assault and Operating a Vehicle while Intoxicated (OVI)

Days of our Lives star Freddie has been charged with one felony and one misdemeanor in Ohio..
Days of our Lives star Freddie Smith was charged Friday with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and vehicular assault, according to the Ashtabula County Prosecutor's office.

Smith was legally drunk October 7 when he crashed his car on Route 84 in Kingsville Township, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. His girlfriend, actress Alyssa Tabit, was injured in the crash.

Smith's blood alcohol test result was .093, when the legal limit in Ohio is .08.

Vehicular assault is a fourth-degree felony, and the OVI charge is a first-degree misdemeanor, Ashtabula County Assistant Prosecutor Cecilia Cooper said.

An arraignment date has not been set.

'Days of our Lives' Star Freddie Smith Had .093 Blood Alcohol Level During Car Crash, Above Ohio's .08 Legal Limit

Days of our Lives star Freddie Smith was legally drunk and possibly speeding in the October 7 car crash that seriously injured his girlfriend, actress Alyssa Tabit, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

A report in the Ashtabula Star Beacon revealed Smith's blood alcohol level to be .093. The legal limit in Ohio is .08.

Tabit is recovering from her injuries.

Smith drove off Route 84 in Kingsville Township when he lost control of the Mazda 6 he was driving on a curve in the road, just east of Dibble Road, according to the OHP report.

Barbara Bowman Alleges Bill Cosby Raped Her In Her Teens

The journal kept by Barbara Bowman in 1990 contains stories of Cosby's alleged abuse.
Barbara Bowman, a former actress, told the Mail Online that Bill Cosby, who played loveable patriarch Dr. Huxtable in the hit comedy The Cosby Show, manipulated her into believing he was a father figure before drugging and raping her on more than one occasion.

"I was drugged and raped by that man," she told the newspaper. "He is a monster. He came at me like a monster. My hope is that others who have experienced sexual abuse will not be intimidated into silence by the famous, rich and powerful. If I can help one victim, then I've done my job."

Crystal Hunt Being Sued: The Assault 'Might Have Killed My Future Baby'

Crystal Hunt is being sued by Elizabeth Nam nearly a year after their bar brawl.
Just days after receiving there years probation in a felony assault case, former Guiding Light and One Life to Live actress Crystal Hunt is being sued.

Last December, the actress was charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon after a bar brawl turned bloody as she shattered a water glass on Elizabeth Nam's face. And according to new court documents, Nam is suing Hunt saying that the assault destroyed any chance she had for reproducing.

In the court documents, obtained by TMZ, Elizabeth explains she had been "actively searching for a mate" adding "the assault might have killed my future baby, due to my biological clock ticking."

In other words, the scars on her face combined with the emotional trauma have left her undesirable to men.

Nam is insisting that Crystal be put behind bars, while TMZ reports probation officials are recommending she serve 6 months in jail, enroll in an anger management program and pay her victim restitution.

Hunt's lawyer told TMZ Nam was wasted at the time of the confrontation and threatened Hunt repeatedly by shouting, "You're dead!" He added, anyone who would talk about killing an unconceived future child "has likely got some psychological issues."

Stephen Collins May Not Be Prosecuted in Molestation Cases

Stephen Collins may not be prosecuted for either molesting or exposing himself to the three known victims, law enforcement sources tell TMZ.

TMZ posted audio of Collins confessing to wife Faye Grant that he molested and/or exposed himself to three girls, ages 11 - 13. The NYPD and the L.A. County Sheriff's Deptartment have open investigations. The LAPD is also looking into the case they closed 2 years ago.

But law enforcement sources in those police departments tell TMZ the cases will go nowhere. All three cases are decades old, and our sources say prosecution would be barred by the statute of limitations.

Grant has alleged Collins molested a child while he was shooting 7th Heaven -- sometime between 1996 and 2007 -- but no such victim has come forward.

'Buffy' Star Nicholas Brendon Arrested in Idaho

Actor Nicholas Brendon, best known as Xander Harris on the Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV series, was arrested in Boise, Idaho, showing signs of intoxication, police said.

Brendon was in town for the Tree City Comic Con.

Police were called to a downtown hotel Friday after reports of a disturbance in the lobby, according a news release from the Boise Police Department.

"When officers arrived, they found the suspect who showed signs of intoxication and repeatedly refused officers commands to stay seated while officers tried to speak with witnesses," the release said. "When the suspect continued to try and walk away, officers took him into custody for resisting and obstructing."

The hotel staff said Brendon had broken a decorative dish and they wanted to press charges.
He was booked into the Ada County Jail and bonded out, police said.

Brendon is charged with two misdemeanors -- malicious injury to property and resisting or obstructing officers.

Police say additional charges are possible.

Former One Life to Live and Guiding Light actress Crystal Hunt was sentenced Friday to three years of probation for flinging a glass in a woman's face.

Hunt pleaded no contest to the charge of felony assault by means likely to produce great bodily injury stemming from the December 13 incident at a West Hollywood bar, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney's office.

Former 'One Life to Live' Star Sean Ringgold Cleared of Rape and Sexual Assault Charges


Former One Life to Live actor Sean Ringgold has been cleared of sexual assault and rape charges filed against him in 2013. Nearly a year and $70,000 in legal fees later, all charges against Ringgold have been dropped.

Ringgold, who was once a bodyguard for celebrities like Tom Cruise, LL Cool J, and Queen Latifah, said he had been talking to a women online for about a year, then he agreed to meet with her at a restaurant in Secaucus, New Jersey. But when he showed up the woman wasn't the same person he had been talking to online, so he decided to drive her home. Then three days later detectives called to tell him there was a warrant out for his arrest.

"I get a phone call, I have to go turn myself in, finger printed, pictures, everything," Ringgold recalled.

Actor Stephen Collins Being Investigated For Child Molestation

Stephen Collins is being investigated by the NYPD on child molestation claims.
Stephen Collins, best known for his role as Eric Camden, father and pastor, on 7th Heaven, is under investigation for child molestation.

The Manhattan Special Victims Squad received a formal complaint against the actor and that the incident is currently being investigated.

Word first broke when TMZ posted the audio from a 2012 therapy session between Collins and then-wife Faye Grant, who filed for divorce that same year. In the audio, Collins admits to molesting one girl and exposing himself to others, all of whom were reportedly between the ages of 10 and 13.

Former Scandal star Columbus Short was ordered to appear Wednesday morning in criminal court for a hearing in his domestic violence case. His wife was asking the judge for more protection from the actor, who is mired in legal trouble. But the actor wasn't there, so the judge issued a bench warrant for his arrest.

'The Shield' Actor Michael Jace Charged in Wife's Shooting Death


Michael Jace, who played a Los Angeles cop in TV's The Shield, has been charged in the fatal shooting of his wife, police said Tuesday.

April Jace, 40, was found shot to death in her south Los Angeles home by police called there to investigate a shooting, Los Angeles Police Detective Lyman Doster said.

"At this moment the motive of the murder is believed to be domestic violence," a police news release said.

Investigators detained Jace, 51, at the couple's Hyde Park area home Monday night and booked the actor on a homicide charge early Tuesday, according to Doster.

Jace was booked into a Los Angeles jail with bail set at $1 million.
