Joshua Morrow Reflects on Kelly Sullivan's Exit from 'The Young and the Restless'

Kelly Sullivan and Joshua Morrow
'The Young and the Restless' star Joshua Morrow is happy with his latest story, but he is going to miss his co-star Kelly Sullivan [ex-Sage].

Morrow tells Soap Opera Digest, "I'm very sad that I don't get to work with Kelly Sullivan anymore because I absolutely love her. She was everything you'd want in a co-star. When I found out she was leaving, I was very depressed by it, although I can't deny that it really upped the dramatics of the story. I'll really miss Kelly. She's so professional and always came prepared, but she doesn't take herself too seriously. She really understood my sense of humor. Nick and Sage was a dream pairing for me because I just loved being around Kelly every day."

Sullivan was the one who told Morrow she had been axed from the show. "I was on a plane and I got back super late," he recalls. "She had texted me, but I didn't see the message until midnight. It said, 'Call me about work,' and I remember thinking, 'Aw, man, I wonder if something bad is happening.' I texted her back the first thing in the morning and when she told me, I was so crushed. I was really bummed, but it is what it is. Sometimes, it's a mean business. Once you get past the suckiness of losing your friend at work, the layers of this story are so awesome. I was very impressed it went this route because I didn't think the writers would do that, and the way it unfolded was genius. It really gives many other people involved in this story a lot of stuff to do. That's great writing."
