Mykelti Williamson Joins 'Nashville' Season 3 For Multi-Episode Arc

Mykelti Williamson will show off his musical talents on Nashville.
Mykelti Williamson has nabbed a recurring role in the upcoming third season of ABC primetime serial Nashville. He will play Terry, a brilliant musician who, after suffering a terrible personal tragedy, lives as a nomad on the streets of Nashville. When his talent finally is uncovered, he works hard to reclaim the self-sufficiency he lost years ago. Williamson will sing on the show, in what is expected to be a four-episode arc.

While he is best known for his acting, Williamson started as a singer and dancer.

Williamson's many TV credits include 24, Justified, CSI: New York and Boomtown.

In other Nashville-related news, Connie Britton (Rayna James) has recorded a brief cameo for FOX's Family Guy, EW reports. A cutaway gag in an episode titled "Baking Bad" that will air in October involves Peter breaking into Britton’s home. "She wakes up in bed to discover Peter is munching on her hair," says executive producer Steve Callaghan, adding: "Especially if you saw her in Friday Night Lights, her hair just looks so yummy, you want to take a bite of it."

First Thoughts on Guy Wilson as the New Will Horton on DAYS OF OUR LIVES

Guy Wilson debuted as the new Will Horton on DAYS OF OUR LIVES on Wednesday, January 8, 2014. "You're not gonna believe this!" That was actor Guy Wilson's first line in his debut as the new Will Horton on DAYS OF OUR LIVES. Well, believe it! Over the years many relative unknown thespians, who later turned out to be excellent actors, even Emmy winners, made their daytime soap opera debuts and looked like stiffs. This is a different medium, with a lot of dialogue to memorize, where getting it right on the first take is desired. It's understandable if a new actor in a daytime drama takes not just one, but several episodes to settle in. It's happened time and again so I give them a pass. Luckily, Wilson doesn't need one. He performed like a seasoned pro on Day One.
