NBC has renewed medical drama The Night Shift for a 14-episode second season.In averages from Nielsen Media Research through June 29, The Night Shift is the #1 new scripted series on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox so far this summer in adults 18-49 and total viewers.
In total viewers, The Night Shift is the #4 show of the summer on those networks with 7.9 million persons.
The series stars Eoin Macken, Ken Leung, Brendan Fehr, Jill Flint, Robert Bailey Jr., Jeananne Goossen, JR Lemon, Daniella Alonso and Freddy Rodriguez.
The Night Shift is produced by Sony Pictures Television Inc. Gabe Sachs and Jeff Judah serve as executive producers and writers.
