'General Hospital' Casting New Role

Who needs a new man in her life? Soap Opera Digest is reporting that a casting call has gone out for a new contract role on GH . The character is described as "Caucasian, 32-37, very sexy, dynamic and charismatic. A bonafide leading man," and would begin shooting in late November. Who would you like to see cast in the role and who do you think needs a new man in her life? Would love to hear your thoughts.

Marie Wilson Returning to Days of our Lives In New Role

Marie Wilson will play Summer on  Days of our Lives .  Photo Credit: Marie Wilson Marie Wilson is returning to Days of our Lives , but not in her previous role of Bree TJaden. This time around, Wilson will be playing Summer. If you recall, a  casting call went out for the role in mid-August. Summer is described as a "passionate loner who has been in and out of institutions." Look for Wilson to first air in early 2016. Wilson previously played Karen Wexler in Port Charles and Meg Snyder on As the World Turns . Her other credits include My Synthesized Life , The Bay , Criminal Minds and Workshop , the latter of which earned the actress an Indie Series Award nomination in 2012.

Deidre Hall Speaks Out: "It Was Very Difficult To See The Killing Of Will On Air"

Deidre Hall and Guy Wilson Days of our Lives star Deidre Hall (Marlena) revealed on Facebook what the atmosphere on set was like when scenes of Will's (Guy Wilson) death were filmed. It sounds like it was a tough week! Deidre posted: "It was very difficult to see the killing of Will on air. We all stood paralyzed and fixed on the screen in the make up room. Guy was terrific in his portrayal. Seeing the show on air brought back the terrible sadness we all felt when the scenes were being shot. I have seen him a number of times since he left and am happy to say he is doing well." Are you going to miss Marlena and Will's relationship? It's nice to see that Deidre and Guy have stayed in touch!

Jon Lindstrom Returns to 'General Hospital'

Jon Lindstrom  Jon Lindstrom is reprising his role of Dr. Kevin Collins next week on General Hospital, according to Soap Opera Digest. Lindstrom reveals, "I was very happily surprised to get a call from [Casting Director] Mark Teschner asking if I’d be interested in making some appearances. I was so pleased to go and romp with my old friends at GH again!" One can only hope that Kevin has plans to institutionalize Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Morgan (Bryan Craig) ASAP.

Jesica Ahlberg Cast as Darby on 'General Hospital'

Jesica Ahlberg - Photo by Brett Erickson Jesica Ahlberg has been cast in the role of Darby on 'General Hospital'. According to Soaps in Depth, she will interact with Molly (Haley Pullos) and TJ (Tequan Richmond). Ahlberg is scheduled to make her GH debut on Monday, October 19. It will be nice to see TJ and Molly have some sort of story, but can GH please focus on getting rid of its dead weight, before it brings on any new characters?

Jensen Buchanan will soon be visiting Genoa City Jensen Buchanan, who shot to daytime fame as Sarah Gordon Buchanan on One Life to live , is joining the cast of The Young and the Restless . Buchanan is also well known as twins Vicky and Marley Hudson on Another World .

'Life's a Drag' Pilot Premieres at Brooklyn Web Fest; Series Crowdfunding for Next Episode

The multi-talented Ian Verdun stars as Melvin Everman in Life's a Drag . Life's a Drag premiered at Brooklyn Web Fest on Friday, October 9. Based on the positive reaction from a packed theater, creator and star Ian Verdun has a hit on his hands. Life's a Drag is a story about self-discovery as straight(ish) down-on-his-luck actor, Melvin Everman (played by Verdun), in an act of desperation, "inexplicably embarks on a journey that will lead him to Drag superstardom. Along the he'll will meet a host of colorful characters, some new and some old as he struts his way to glory. But before the crown is won, he'll have to go toe to toe with more than a few shady queens, and be forced to come to terms with the most damaged parts of himself, forever altering the perception of his own identity, and testing the foundations of his relationships."
