New 'Dancing with the Stars' Cast Includes Michael Sam, Suzanne Somers, Patti LaBelle, Rumer Willis


The 10th anniversary celebrity cast of Dancing with the Stars is strapping on their ballroom shoes and getting ready for their first dance on Monday, March 16 (8:00-10:01 p.m. ET) on the ABC Television Network. This 20th season’s lineup of celebrity dancers includes a television icon, a party rocker, a football star and a Shark, to name a few. The reigning Mirrorball champion, Witney Carson, will be partnered with a surprise celebrity to be announced at a later date, completing the cast of twelve celebrity dance couples.

This season of Dancing with the Stars will be filled with surprises as we celebrate the last 10 years. The show will bring back fan favorite theme nights including Disney and Latin night and also introduce new themes, including Spring Break Night. Viewers will also have more access to the show than ever before with #DWTSAllAccess offering viewers a behind the scenes look with six live stream videos from key positions in the ballroom. Additionally, viewers will have access to the DWTS rehearsal studio like never before, with live streaming videos available throughout the week on ABC.com.

As announced this morning on ABC’s Good Morning America, the celebrities with their professional partners heading to the ballroom this season (in alphabetical order) are:

OWN Original Documentary 'Michael Sam' Premieres December 27

Michael Sam premieres December 27 on OWN.
The 90-minute OWN Original Documentary Michael Sam premieres on Saturday, December 27 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Michael Sam follows the life of Michael Sam, who made history when he became the first openly gay football player drafted into the NFL.

Michael Sam follows the former University of Missouri college football star as he enters the world of professional football and vies for a spot on an NFL team. Cameras get up close and personal with Michael as he openly discusses a childhood fraught with tragedy and poverty, as well as his emotional decision to come out as a gay man in the world of pro sports. The documentary captures the moment when Michael was drafted by the St. Louis Rams, the intense media scrutiny that immediately followed, and Michael's struggle to stay focused despite the pressure and chaos. Additionally, the documentary explores Michael's relationship with his boyfriend Vito Cammisano and the challenge of balancing his personal life alongside his pursuit of NFL stardom.

Michael Sam Docuseries Coming to OWN

Michael Sam was picked on the 7th round of the
NFL draft on Saturday.

OWN has greenlit a documentary series that will follow Michael Sam, the first openly gay player in the NFL.

The Untitled Michael Sam Project will follow Sam, who was taken by the St. Louis Rams in the seventh round of the NFL Draft, as he attempts to enter the world of professional football.

“We are honored that Michael is trusting us with his private journey in this moment that has not only made history but will shape it forever,” said CEO Oprah Winfrey. “I am proud of the focus on authentic storytelling in our new documentary series format. The next real-life story we follow in The Untitled Michael Sam Project promises to spark valuable, important discussion on life in America today. Acceptance and illumination start here.”

The Untitled Michael Sam Project is produced with OWN by Pilgrim Studios and is executive produced by Craig Piligian, Nicholas Caprio and Johnny Gould. Amy Rice, Ralph Wikke and Mitch Rosa are co-executive producers.
