25 Actors That Never Won a Daytime Emmy Award (But Should Have)

The 43rd annual Daytime Emmy Awards are being held tonight and will celebrate, among other things, the best actors and actresses in daytime television. Throughout its history, the Daytime Emmys have honored many of the greats like Anthony Geary, Susan Flannery, Erika Slezak, Kim Zimmer, Douglass Watson, David Canary, Larry Bryggman and Michael Zaslow. Several legends have received Lifetime Achievement Awards (Eileen Fulton, Rachel Ames and Don Hastings come to mind) while others were honored in other ways (Mary Stuart and Charita Bauer were given a Special Recognition Award in 1985). But some of the very best actors that ever worked in the medium have never won a Daytime Emmy Award, and a few of them have never even been nominated.

Below is our list of the Top 25 and the memorable roles they played that deserved the gold.

1. Beverlee McKinsey (Iris, Another World; Alexandra, Guiding Light)
2. Maureen Garrett (Holly, Guiding Light)
3. James Mitchell (Palmer, All My Children)
4. Ilene Kristen (Delia, Ryan's Hope; Roxy, One Life to Live)
