'Rockland County' Audio Soap Opera is Back, Listen to the First Two Episodes

Two decades ago, this audio soap I created slipped offline and became a bit of a lost gem. Today, with audio dramas hotter than ever, the series finally steps back into the light. If you love character-driven chaos, cliffhangers that don’t play fair, and families with more secrets than good sense… pull up a pair of earbuds. Rockland County centers around the lives of the Ramos, Morgan and Givens families living in Rockland County, New York. Everyone has a secret. How far will these people go to keep it that way? In the premiere episode ("Challenges"), Arden Morgan's (Abby Wathen) car broke down on the interstate in Rockland County and she was rescued by handsome strangers Dante Ramos (Stephen Seidel) and Damien Givens (Guiding Light's Gavin Houston). When Arden couldn't reach her brother for help, she ended up staying overnight at the Ramos family guest house. Dante's fath3er, Paul Ramos (Nick Sullivan), met with Gretchen Styles and Charlie Dean (S&S crossover guest stars Caroline Hay and Gregori J. Martin) about the sale of late his cousin's home. Later, Barbara Whitman (As the World Turns' Anne Sayre) caught Paul rummaging through files in his study. Dr. Angela Givens (former TV Guide soap reporter Delaina Dixon) chatted online with her new pal, BurnDoctor212, and wondered if they would meet in person soon. Manny Ramos (Rick Ojeda) returned to town and his first stop was the Rockland Psych Center looking for Angela.



In Episode 2 ("Suburban Secrets"), a distracted Paul admitted to Barbara that he was thinking about Dante during breakfast. She told him that Dante was young and needed a break. Paul won't be happy until Dante is working for him at L&R; Construction. Dante offered to give Arden a ride into Manhattan to find her brother after breakfast. Brian, Arden's brother, found her note on his door, but had no way to contact her. Dan Levin was brought back to the Rockland Psych Center and got reacquainted with Dr. Angela Givens. Caroline Hart arrived to ask Dan question about her sister's death but he threw her out in a tirade. Cyrus, an intern, followed Caroline and had a premonition she was in danger. Damien realized Dante was smitten with Arden as they headed off to breakfast. Barbara called Damien and told him she couldn't meet tonight. She doesn't want Paul to suspect they are having an affair.
