'General Hospital' Star Genie Francis Unveils 40-Pound Weight Loss

General Hospital star Genie Francis is kicking off the New Year having conquered her dieting demons after a lifelong battle with her weight. The beloved soap opera actress recently revealed that she lost 40 pounds on Nutrisystem, a leading provider of weight management products and services, and feels better than ever.

Francis began her weight loss journey with Nutrisystem in September 2014 and has continued to reach milestone after milestone. Now 40 pounds down, Francis feels like she has a new lease on life.

“Dieting began for me at such a young age. When I was 14, they put my character Laura on a diet. It set off a whole pattern for me with crazy starvation dieting, “ said Francis. “Nutrisystem is livable and for once I am not suffering or starving myself to achieve my weight loss goals. The best thing about the program is that I'm more at peace with food than I have ever been in my lifetime.”

Francis’ most recent weight loss success has her feeling more like her old self. She admits to having more confidence, doesn’t dread getting dressed or being on camera, and has much more energy.

Francis also plans to continue her healthy lifestyle with Nutrisystem and wants to lose even more weight.
