The Bold and the Beautiful star Linsey Godfrey (Caroline Spencer) was run over by a car Monday in L.A. while she was walking down a sidewalk.

Police tell TMZ the 2014 Daytime Emmy nominee was struck around 2:30 p.m. and got pinned underneath the car. When emergency responders arrived, a citizen had already moved her from the wreckage, and she was rushed to the hospital by ambulance.

The car that hit Godfrey veered onto the sidewalk after getting into an accident with another vehicle. Neither driver was arrested.

Cops told TMZ that Godfrey suffered two broken legs, and is currently in surgery.

Godfrey’s manager, Theo Swerissen, confirmed to the Los Angeles Times that the actress was hospitalized but that she was awake and talking. He was uncertain about the exact nature of her injuries.

Godfrey, a Hodgkin's lymphoma survivor, is currently involved in a hot B&B storyline in which her character Caroline is dealing with a bitter and jealous husband, Rick (Jacob Young), fighting feelings for his older half brother, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), and taking on mother-in-law Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang).

Godfrey is married to The Young and the Restless actor Robert Adamson (Noah Newman). They welcomed their first child, Aleda Seren Adamson, on June 12, 2014.

UPDATE (11:30 p.m. ET):
Some outlets are saying that initial reports that Godfrey broke both legs are false, and that she only injured her ankles. We will update this post as official news comes in.

"Please send strong healing energy to my beautiful on screen daughter and lovely friend," tweeted Crystal Chappell, who plays Danielle Spencer on B&B.

UPDATE (February 3, 6:17 a.m. ET):
Godfrey's injuries were limited to her ankles and she is expected to make a full recovery.

The Bold and the Beautiful was dark on Monday. Producers have rearranged taping for the next few days.

Godfrey's co-stars posted messages of support on Twitter:

UPDATE (February 3, 11:01 a.m. ET):
Godfrey's husband, Robert Adamson), took to Twitter to let fans knows she would be alright: "She is going to be ok. Thank you. Already charming her Dr's and Nurses. She's been through worse than this and she'll be back on her feet before we all know it. She's the best girl and the best momma, and soon this will all be a distant memory."
