The Young and the Restless, featuring the return of CBS Daytime veteran and Criminal Minds star Shemar Moore for two episodes, delivered its largest weekly audience and best women 18-49 rating since March, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending September 14.
The Young and the Restless averaged 4.70 million viewers (up +3% from the prior week), 1.3/09 in women 18-49 (up +8%) and 2.0/13 in women 25-54 (up +5%). It was The Young and the Restless' best viewer and women 18-49 deliveries since the week ending March 28.
Moore, who appeared as series regular on The Young and the Restless for 11 years (1994-2002 and 2004-2005), reprised his role as the charismatic Malcolm Winters, a portrayal that earned him a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 2000.
