Will the Biggest Stars of Daytime TV Show Up at the Daytime Emmys?

The 2014 Daytime Emmys are tonight and one has to wonder if the most well-known stars of Daytime television will show up to support their shows, and the community as a whole. We know that Kathy Griffin is hosting the ceremony. We also have been told the following people are confirmed as presenters:

* Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler, Sheryl Underwood (The Talk)
* Kelly Monaco, Donna Mills, Jason Thompson, Michelle Stafford (General Hospital)
* Scott Clifton, Darin Brooks, Kim Matula (The Bold and the Beautiful)
* Camryn Grimes, Sharon Case (The Young and the Restless)
* Casey Moss, Kate Mansi (Days of our Lives)
* Giuliana Rancic (E! News)
* Mario Lopez (Extra)
* Billy Bush (Access Hollywood)
* Brooke Burns, Mark Labbett (The Chase)
* Judge Cristina Perez (Justice for All with Judge Cristina Perez)
* Mo Rocca (CBS Sunday Morning)

No offense to anyone on on the list above but where are the stars of Daytime? Why are the biggest names no longer attending this event which is all about honoring them? The telecast ratings have declined in recent years, and the production of the Daytime Emmys has been less than stellar, but the lack of star power has definitely contributed to that.

Will Ellen DeGeneres attend and support her nominated talk show? Will Anthony Geary be on hand to support his General Hospital co-stars? Will The Young and the Restless' oft-snubbed Eric Braeden be there? Barbara Walters? Kelly Ripa? Deidre Hall? Pat Sajak? Alex Trebek? Judge Judy? If any of these people are attending, why are they not presenting awards? This is Daytime's night to shine and the presenters should be the heavyweights that everyone knows, along with some up and coming stars, perhaps the next big thing. And how about six-time winner Erika Slezak to represent Outstanding Drama Series nominee One Life to Live?

It will be interesting to see what jokes Kathy Griffin tells without some of the most recognizable faces being the audience.
